actually shamegaem i do paint my own house, what i dont understand is why people get so agro about something that hurts noone, its just how things look, you dont like the look of it so it bad well there is a million other cats out there that love graffiti, so whose right ? noone but one thing i do know is graffiti will never stop, its a non vioent out let for cats that dont have many other options.
graf it very artistic there is a lot of shit just scribbled on walls and i dont much like that stuff, but there is heaps of ART out there.
man i feel you and i really like graffiti but i can understand his point like if i owned my own business and i came to my shop one morning to find my company logo sprayed over or some shit like that i would be pissed because as a bussiness owner you couldnt leave it thier and you would have to pay out of your pocket to cover it up

really just depends where you do it

real graffiti artists dont bomb on small businesses.. we usually hit the highway signs, rail cars, trains, overpasses on the highways.... City funded areas that are visible to many

Graffiti is a major problem in this country.So many people seem to think it's ok to spray paint their stupid crap on other people's property.Costs taxpayers and property owners millions of dollars every year.

drawings are ok but we all know that is just practice for the real thing....Sorry to pee on your little thread here.

Peace.

sure, i can see where you are coming from, but first you have to understand, there is a difference between vandalism and graffiti...

graffiti is art, and vandalism is either "graphers" spraying whatever werever to piss people off or actual physical damage to something.

in my opinion graffiti is good, if it is something you feel strongly about, looks good and/or you really are putting your best efforts in to it, but if not and your just another one of these "graphers" which are popping up everywere now and are just spray painting walls covering them with complete shit, i agree it is not good at all.

thanks.

Writers are Vandals. Period. Even the experienced writers acknowledge this fact. No matter how pretty it looks.
I support the dying movement, as it gives a person a way to express themselves that hadn*t been there before. I even gave it a chance a few years back. Had a chill spot were I could practice all day every day. I just didn*t stick with it. I tried to force it on myself. The artistic nature doesn*t fit my style.

My style was street art. Stencils, stickers, altering surrounds, producing something that had already been placed in an urban environment. Never had a tag or a crew. I just liked giving people something to look at while waiting at the light.

vandal - a person who deliberatly destroys or damages things, especially public property.

explain to me how putting spraypaint on a wall is destroying or psycally damaging something?

the wall is left exactly how it is except with a bit of paint on it, if anything you are adding to the wall, not damaging or destroying it.

this is my opinion.

LEGALS = ART
BOMBING = EGO

the intentional damage of someones property to express oneself in any form is wrong...its all aout who is doing more in what parts of town and how quick theyre getting up, IE...you have one kid walking around crushing a neighborhood with everything from marker tags to giant fill-ins...and he gets either "hate" or "props" depending on how good he is and who he knows in the game...Graff is a culture full of "rules" and politics that one can never understand unless youve been in the life...i mean one who has never been in an active train yard trying to get back to your ride at daybreak; or hanging out with your crew at a bar when that "kid who lined you" last week walks in and you gotta beat the shit out of him for being disrespectful...

you would never get it unless you lived it...

just my 2 c.

graff will always e in my blood and i will always love to follow the kids crushing my city...
