I dunno man, could be coincidental too, nature has a way of these things occuring when the time is right. If it keeps happening to your mate, just tell him to stop using the beans you gave him.
what im worried about is the disease is not in the beans alone but is a fungal infection that will/has infected the grow area that was originally on the seeds, it cannot be got rid off once an area is infected, only controlled or held back to a certain level, over $4000 alone on myco/tricho treatments spent last season, still had approx 50% deathrate, thats why im very wary of passing on beans to anyone for the moment

the end is nigh for these purp beauty queens, GDP on left beside CV raspberry kush, both pollinated with Mosca C99 male, interesting note on how these 2 developed their hues, the GDP only developed its colour in the last 5wks & the raspberry kush has had its colour since the first calyx formed, GDP very much influenced by the onset of cooler temps, raspberry kush has not changed in any way with the advent of cooler tempsView attachment 3680806 View attachment 3680807 View attachment 3680808 View attachment 3680810
Amazing!

Starting winter in NL here, haven 1x purple wreck and 4 bubblegum TH outdoor at the moment, they will finnish begining oct I believe.. Next round not before april at least :)..
its a short outdoor season there in NL, great to see you giving it a go, our seasons are almost exactly opposite.. your mid winter is our mid summer, im in a semi-desert area with an outdoor season that can span from september through to may & sometimes june if its an indian summer, its very arid too so the thick heavy bud types are no risk with mould & can be grown safely, almost a perfect outdoor environ except its a remote area with little modern conveniences like large shops & utilities etc

Guess I'll germ all four mk ultra at the same time and see what I get. I've read other reviews agreeing with what you said so I'm also not expecting much. Hopefully your crosses will have much better quality.
Joe i forgot to give the smoke report on the mk ultra....its good, really good, piney sort of taste with a sat on the ass heavy type stone, very medicating, i really didnt think it would be that good with lack of obvious resin production compared to GDP & DGOG, also the sativa like growth pattern led me to think it was going to be nothing like what the original offering was? will be looking forward now to growing out the offspring in the next outdoor season!

Pugsbreath, Afterglow, and Freshbreath are all mendobreath f3s, all being crosses of mendobreath f2 x mendobreath f2. Gromer described the pugsbreath to me as basically an ogkb bx because it throws out mostly ogkb dominant phenos, and the mom is norcals mendobreath cut. The Afterglow mom is one of two phenos gromer selected from multiple pack seed runs of mendobreath f2s and is more mendo dominant. The freshbreath mom is the other pheno he kept out of his seed run, which he says is more of a mix between the two parents.

This info is what gromer told me directly.

So of the 3 mendobreath f2 moms, the only cut he sourced was norcals cut, the other two were ones he selected from seed from gage green packs.

ultimately the pollen chucks that made the grade are;
GDP x Mosca C99
Cannaventure Raspberry Kush(cacao pheno) X Mosca C99
Alphakronic Jackpot Royale x Mosca C99
MK Ultra x Mosca C99
none of the Irie Cookie Stomper crosses turned out any good? i cannot offer a reason as to why that happened?
none of the DGOG crosses turned out any good with hermie & dwarfism traits running strong

@v.s one the raspberry kush cacao pheno ended up being killer compared to the bright purp offspring bro,
positives of the cacao pheno are;
very high ratio of females to males compared to 60% males with the purp pheno
50% more yield than purp pheno of same height
a much denser & presentable bud structure, better & stronger terp profile
better smoke all round
the purp pheno never made it anywhere near the bright purp of its mum being a much paler type
will not be growing the purp pheno out again & staying with the cacao type
and...only 1 in 7 purp pheno beans will germinate? dont know what happened there?

1/7 they might need a scuff. I'm glad you got something nice from cannaventure. I'm sorry my la plata neighbors didn't work out for you.
cheers man, nahhh scuffing is out of my league, if they dont germ naturally then they dont get on my grow list, yeah the la plata were the biggest surprise/letdown of them all, the mums were classic beast resin monsters, yet 95% of offspring were bizzaro types, mind the few that actually did grow to maturity were total fire buds!...damn those genes not good for outcrossing at all, the jackpot royale x C99 & raspberry kush(cacao pheno) x C99 are probably the very best out of those chucks
