Greenhouse sq ft.

After searching quite a bit, I am left with a question. I'm leasing a greenhouse for this year's grow. The greehouse is huge......HUGE. We'll be sectioning off what I need, so I won't have to buy new cover for the entire thing, this will also limit the amount of fencing I have to have put up. And since I'm leasing, the amount of greenhouse I'm using will determine what I'll be paying.

I'm going to run 24 plants, and I'm thinking 65 gallon smart pots. What sq footage should I be looking for? I'd like to give my plants room to grow, but I don't want to lease any more than I need to.

(BTW, I was going to start off with pictures of my indoor grow since I know it's better to give before asking, but I'm currently not able to upload any pics.)

depends on how you are going to grow if you train to go wide figure the plant will be at least 4 ft from the stalk so that's would be 8x8 minimum. some plants get huge.

Thanks. That's already in my plans for next year. Bring in two crops, one mid summer and one in the fall. I'll use some of the profits from this years grow to install light dep to the existing greenhouse.

sounds like you should be using 300gl smart pots....theres no such thing as too big of a greenhouse.....good luck
Maybe because I only run 3 gallon pots at my indoor grow, but that seems absolutely huge! Will the plants have time to fill that out? I'll be starting my seeds this weekend. Being in MI, I won't be moving into the greenhouse until May.

Let me expand on when I'm moving into the greenhouse. I know I should be in there ASAP, but the greenhouse isn't anywhere near ready. It needs new film, a wall built to section it off and fencing ran. Also, I've been sidelined with a broken ankle. I have another 4 weeks until I can bear weight on it, so that has me running behind on getting ready for the outdoor grow. The indoor grow is quite a bit to handle on a knee scooter.

But as to my original question, I decided on 18x144.

With running behind, do you think I could do 100 gallon smart pots? I want to be sure my roots are filled out before it's time to flower.
