Anybody have any thoughts on the Phillips Rebel LED's quality? The 75 watt output compared to the price is steep.

Interesting lamp but the Rebel whites for whatever reason have not been up to par and the lamp is very heavy in the deep red, something KNNA warned against. He recommended to balance the deep red with orange/red.

Also, 81W for 360 pounds (560 USD) is not priced competitively. Actual dissipation may be as low as 70W so that is $8/W. The Onyx bloom for example, is $2.15/W and uses Cree XML2.

I was also looking at those Platinum LED's as well. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new light but keep thinking I should wait until Area 51 releases their new light. The BlackStar I've been using for a few years works pretty good but I'm sure I can do better with new technology.
