I hope this is the right area to post for this, But I have a few seeds popped and just wanted to get a report going on it.:leaf:

I have:
Sagamartha seeds-Western winds aka "kali mist" https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/sagarmatha-seeds-western-winds/prod_2274.html
World of seeds-South African Kwazulu landrace https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/world-of-seeds-landraces-south-african-kwazulu/prod_2782.html
World of seeds-Afgan Kush Landrace https://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/world-of-seeds-landraces-afghan-kush/prod_2776.html
and my random seed I call CACTUS "from a bag of Fire Bubba"

all are 21 days old minus germination time(Kwazulu,Kali mist,Afghan)
CACTUS is a reverted plant from flower

Growing in 5 gallon Air-pots
with Baccto Professional planting mix
and Soil Tabs from NIRVANA in a the Afgani, African Kwazulu, and CACTUS
No extra ammendments in the Kali Mist plant

I use a small boy Water Filter and have only watered the plants so far.
NO PH Alterations yet

A little story behind CACTUS.
I got a bag of Meds coined "Fire Bubba" that had 3 seeds in it. I popped 2 and kept 1. Both plants about 10 weeks for flower and i was really looking at only doing 8 weeks max. The first phenotype smelled like straight carmel corn. And the second one Very spicy.
Both had an Awesome sativa dominant effect.

So I chopped them down and tossed the clones i had of both plants. After I chopped them down I put them in my spare room for lack of a better place to store them. Only 1 60watt light bulb in that spare room which was turned on and off at no set light cycle. I went to go bring all of my old soil to the back when spring came. But One of those Fire Bubba plants had reverted back to Veg and continued to grow from there! NO WATER OR SPECIAL TREATMENT for 4 MONTHS! The growth on it was completely yellow with lack of nitrogen but no other signs of deficiency. I tossed in a Soil tab with the same root system and pot and have begun to lightly water. It has taken nicely and is growing quite vigorously! So Im coining this phenotype CACTUS! Obviously for its drought resistance.

Has anyone seen such a drought resistant plant?
Could this be somthing that could beef up a strain to be more drought resistant in your own genetics?
What kind of potential do you think it has?
Any tips you guys can give me?

THANKS,
JS3

Sorry Alter Ego, WOS South African Kwazulu went male. So I collected a little pollen and im going to cross it with my Blue hash and my Pineapple Trainwreck(Legit clone from the original breeder). Ive also popped some dutch passion purple #1 so well see how those turn out!

I just started a batch of Kali Mist in late May as well. I used Simon from Serious Seeds as the breeder.
I'd be interested to compare grow reports.
I'll be checkin' in to watch your progress. I hope your grow turns out well with a high yield.
Are you growing indoors or out?

ive let some clones go pretty bad that were in water bottles. lol. ive even gave them away to beginners that were able to make them lush again with just a little tlc and a repot. they come back usually with good nutrients and proper watering. a lot of strains are drought resistant, especially if they arent being totally burned up by the sun or a light thats too close.

I am growing 2 Versions of Malawi Gold, African Buzz from Seedsman and Malawi from Ace (Plus South African Kwazulu and Early Durban). Then I am going to mix them with Banana Crack and White Strawberry Skunk and Blue Mystic and Gril Scout Cookies and other color and flavor and smell buds. Then I am going to cross those with Hazes (Hopefully Cantelope Haze) and Kushes and Green Crack and Trainwreck and White Widow Strains (I have White Rhino), etc.
