so saw a dude who has airdomes in his pots, they made a void where they have air he never used them , but when he tipped out the pot where the air pocket was soil above soil below, was a mass of roots like a crazy mass, i also noted where ive not compressed down enough has been a mass of roots if was a pocket left, and ofc airpots roots are mad round the edges, and even around my places i removed old blumats mass in the holes in days,
after soil compacted last round and dryed out peat i stabbed holes with a meat knife sharpener in 1 pot and it really hydrated faster than the rest , took some shock as i broke roots, but she beefed up instantly, and her pots more fillled with roots, i know breaking them can make more roots, but also stops for recovery i dont wana do in flower,

so i though what if i plant up with several bamboo sticks in the soil randomly, i do veg, then remove the canes, leaving well formed long holes that the roots will the massed around so they dont collapse, then cover it with worm cast/myco and whatever soil mix u have, not filling them as such but just let water carry what it carrys down on water , it will leave air pocketed voids running through with food, also would help making sure hydration is maxed at flower?

seems wherever they hit air they go nuts so i just wana make the soil more air filled without disturbing them,
gona test it this round anyways cant harm jack shit increasing air is a bonus will be like man made wormholes and without having to stab the roots just remove em,

ok i have 20gal plastic pots with drainage holes underneath. so this run one of the pots had all its drainage holes blocked by microbial colonies apparently which made the soil turn into mud as water wasnt draining at all. at this point i punched a hole on the bottom of the pot and used an aquarium pump to actively pump air into the medium.

i also have an aeration level at the bottom of the pots. its a thick layer of hydroton separated with old coco mats from the medium. this active aeration of the pot was very successful and this sickly yellow droopy plant bounced back in a week and transformed into a complete beauty.

so i agree there is no such thing as too much air
