Growing bulbs and poppies w/ hydroponics?

My girlfriend and I have recently attended a hydroponics seminar in which we got to make our own drip systems to take home. We have gone absolutely wild with the idea of hydroponics for ALL our green needs both recreational and culinary. Our two questions are whether you can grow any sort of bulb type plants (onions, garlic, etc) using a hydroponic system? And if you can grow poppies using a hydro system as well? Im guessing that you would have to use coco fiber to grow bulb type plants in a hydro setup? Thank you for any input you can provide..

With the right Air , light , and nutrients you can grow anything anywhere, especially in hydroponics ( with the correct experience) As you said, practice on onions and stuff first

I read on another forum that poppies have been grown with success using hydroponics.

I guess you would start the seeds in rockwool cubes.

Good Luck!
