depends if it's icy. plants prefer tepid water. i usually make loads up a couple of days before water and just leave them in the grow room to warm up. Also put them into bigger pots. 300 litres each if you can get them, if not then the biggest you can get, at least 10. The bigger the pots, the more room for root growth which in turn means bigger yield.

No. It's best to put the seedling into the pot that it will be in throughout it's grow as this prevents transplant shock and root damage. The bigger the pot the better.

your gonna need a lil lil bit more then that..They'll stretch !!.Think about Cfl's or both florescent n cfl's or a Metal halide is great for veggy, while a hps is for flowering..Gool luck man..

The cfl will be fine for 1st week or two. Just keep it about an inch away from the top of the plant. Next you'll want to buy a 250w hps lamp. If money's a problem you could just buy some more flouro's. Remember though the more light the plant gets the more bud it will produce. Also place it into a nice big pot, at least 10 litres, and use a soil and perlite mix. You can buy this already made up.

wont the light burn the plant from 1 inch away? hmm alson does a 250w hps bulb hook up to any normal lamp? or does it require something else? the pot that i put it in is about 10inches wide and 15 inches down. plz give me your opinion you seem like you know ur stuff

No flouro's will not burn your plant. You can safely allow the plant to grow into the flouro, just move it back an inch whenever you see this happen. HID lights need a ballast to run from the mains. You can buy hid lights with the ballast already built in but these are harder to find. HID lights will burn your plants if it is too close.

I'm not too sure because you gave me the measurements in inches. I work in litres. but they sound okay, 15" deep and 10" across sounds about right.

Wrong spectrum. Within the sun's spectrum of light are a variety of colours. The two that plants use the most are blue (metal-halide bulbs) and red (high-pressure-sodium bulbs). HPS is about the best if you are just going to use one bulb throughout the grow. If you can afford it go for blue for veg' cycle and red for flowering cycle.
