Sound again J, i found the stuff :)

So how long does what size bottle last you? How much will i need for 4 months?

How much do you use each time?

Would i just keep adding more & testing untill the ph is where i need? Like Ph+/-

I use LIQUID SILICON by growth tech throughout my entire grows.

From veg all the way through flower.

0.5ml per litre.

It does increase your pH and your EC but I've found the growth tech one works best at 0.5ml per litre from start until finish.

One thing you need to do with silicon is add it first to your source water.

If you mix your nutes and then add it, it can cause precipitation if added neat.

If you need to add it after you've already mixed your nutes for eg to raise your pH, then its best to add a few ml's into about 500ml of water and slowly add this to your nute mix so that precipitation doesn't occur.

Have read lots of good things about it so I hope it works out for me too :)

Is there anything I should know/look out for using coco?

If using coco, ideally you need to use coco specific nutes as they have elevated levels of Ca and Mg to help compensate the coco's demand for them.

Depending upon brand of coco you may need to flush it before use.

Some coco has a very high EC out of the bag. For example B'CUZZ coco. Plain water flush the B'CUZZ and your runoff initially will be +3.0. Very high. After the same volume of water as coco has passed through it the runoff is ok.

Canna coco has a low EC straight out of the bag. Around 1.2.

COCOGREEN is very similar to canna.

Most coco is prebuffered with calcium nitrate.

Also what ph & ec pens do you use J?

Saafe
I use a BLUELAB EC TRUNCHEON 5yr warranty and never needs calibrating.

I also use a BLUELAB pH pen. HOWEVER after 5months of usage it needed to go back to manufacturer due to an error code ER that wouldn't let me calibrate it. Manufacturer said they cleaned it and its now working fine. 1yr warranty on this pen.

truncheon is something that should have but ph is more important. Just thought I'd throw that out there

Bluelab ph pen is sweet. I love it. Nuff said.

getting a truncheon when I harvest some bud and gonna use it next grow.

I'm still undecided on the BLUELAB pH pen after mine crapped out after 5 months.

My grow shop guy said if I'd been anyone else going in complaining that he would have thought they caused the problem.

As he knows how OCD I get about things he realised something was up.

I always run a dehumidifier in my grow room after a case of bud rot I got 2 years ago.

They run around 221w of electricity per hour of use and they add a little heat too.
