Growing in Royal Gold Tuper

I recently changed my grow set up. I have 12 1000W HPS DE lights, 26 15 gallon pots, 55 gallon reservoir, and a halo irrigation system drain to waste. I have 18 Skywalker and 8 Black eyed Katy plants. My medium is 20% chunky perlite on bottom and Royal Gold Tupur(coco blend) on top. I am using advanced nutrients connoisseur line with expert level additives. I just started week 4 of flowering. I have been using the whole 55 gallons split into 3 separate watering per day. This was recommended by a friend with a similar setup. The plants look good, but I am running through nutrients like crazy! As everyone knows advanced nutrients are pricey. My pots are always heavy. My question is: can I get away with watering less?

Try it. You are growing 26 plants. In 15 gallon containers. They are going to use a lot of nutes. Maybe try a different brand of nutes. Maybe try twice a day. If there are no Ill effects, try once a day. Your setup screams lots of nutes and medium. Play big, spend big.

Ryante55, thanks for the recommendation. Its more about getting the best yield and quality possible. I just cant find many people watering that much.

How much runoff are you going through? 15 gal is a big container, i would think it'd take a bit for the plants to drink that much. How long are you vegging for?

Smaller pots in coco is a good idea. I bet you could water those every 3 days or so and that would be plenty. I use tupar also btw. I run 5 gallon pots with 4 week veg. By mid flower I water twice a day.

Lol tupur was meant to be used in systems with multiple feeds a day.

Should have done more research
I'm running there basement mix " bottom link in my sig" I didn't want to go full coco yet this is a coco base soilless mix. Amazing stuff and I wont go back to FFOF.

You can definitely also treat tupur like you do a soiless mix. I would end up watering 10gal pots every third day and killed it. I started growing in coco when it hit the scene, like to think I know how to grow in it. Just saying, bigger pots you don’t have to water it multiple times a day.

I didn’t use anything other than the Tupur. Tupur is great all by itself. I rocked the shit for a couple years but moved on like I always do lol, and then the Camp Fire wiped me out. Just getting fired back up again. Before the fire I had switched back to growing in soil. Their Kings mix. A light soilI with coco in it. After watering with water only at first, i treat it like you do a soiless mix.
Works great too ;-). Pretty much the same yields. I’m going back to their kings mix for now.
