growing question

Hello fellow growers, had a question im so cal 626 area to b exact and i planTed 2 seeds from Cali connection and was planted on 3-9-13 and today being 3-10-13 . I got a clone off a friend he told me they r not goin to grow big cuz of season they r going to grow about 12" or so n start flowering last year i started about same time and they were big just thought i would give them a lil extra time to start u know so my question. Being did i mess up my doing so ? I mean i just planted them from seed so im hoping they sprout n hoping they get big n prove my buddy wrong he a indoor grower so dunno wanted other ppls opinion thanks for ur time .

You don't need opinions you need a day length calendar. Essentially what you are doing is running 12/12 from seed. Take a look at http://www.wunderground.com/ you'll see that for about the next 6 weeks we are running 12 hour days give or take. So now it's a race with the seeds. As soon as the seedlings hit sexual maturity if they are under the critical time (For them, whatever strain they are), but my guesstimate is 14 hours or less and you'll see flowering.

So keep them indoors under artificial light 16 to 18/day or put them outside but supplement with light or wait 1 month to plant. Anyway I am NOT an outdoor grower and I'm a newbie at that so the knowledgeable should be along soon.
