I was pleased with kens gdp. Mine did not go purple. It wasn't until I crossed it and then grew out something like 60 seeds of that and found the purple ones

While I was at it I back crossed kens GDP x kens gdp. Just started 34 of those. U can watch that in the journal titled "loud pack give me all of that"

Oh ok I heard that a lot and thought it was complicated. So you run some gdp didn’t find any purple in flower kept a male around then bred with some cuttings from the first run of females and found your purple that way?
Does back crossing have any down sides to it? Do you see any mutations or anything, I suppose it’s different to humans breeding with your siblings

I have a journal on it. It was a while back. I used my own ultimate super soil real organic grow/breed project

Yes and no. You would have to keep back crossing for a long time until you saw loss of vigor or weakened immune system against pest and disease. But for the most part the more u work with the same strain the more stable you will make it

When you say work with a strain do you mean breeding with it or just general taking cuttings and keeping it going for a long time?

Im glad someone chimed in. When it comes to breeder lingo im lacking. Thanks loco
All good, the f2 generation should display a really wide variation but if you select right the following generations will tighten back up.
All the best with the breeding
