Growing the dream

New here but hoping people join in.

Juat built my grow and started my first run....

Lets get to the specs

2 grow rooms 5x7.5x6.5
1 lung room in between the grow rooms

Grow rooms are for both veg and flower
Lung room is for mothers and clones

Lights
3 600w hps/mh cool tubes in each room
1800w per room

Medium
6 20 gallon no till pots

Strains
Dank comander by rare dankness
Love dawg by bodhi

Almost contractor grade setup. How long did it take you to put that together?

Oh and digging the two per pot, curious.

Have you grown love dawg? I have always wanted to run any bodhi seeds and thats the strain i choose.

It took about 2 months of weekend work to get the grow done. Its still a work in progress...

Right now im looking for a mother plant so those are all reg seed plants there. No idea female/males yet.

Also im not sure if i wanna grow 2 or 1 per pot... I have tried asking around and i get many mixed reveiws....

From the pot to the lights i have maybe 4 feet to work with.

So its 12 smaller plants vs 6 larger plants...

I will most likly just lst and lollipop as i am not a fan of scrog

Also for the mother i am going to take clones of all females before flowrring them. After flower we will see what clone we end up keeping.

Nah I'm a dog/dawg fanatic haven't had a chance with it yet.

I've only "heard" negative things about doubling em up but,,,, never seen it done or tried myself.
And 20 gallons wow.
In nature they grow well closer than that.

With root contact one might decide to be male, I'd love to hear that conversation.
If I were to do it 20 gallons sounds like the way to go. May force em to work harder too. Plenty of soil+competition+light.
Added possibility of freak out at 12/12. Might think "I'm being shaded out better grow fast".

Well... Once i see a male its getting cut. So that argument is out the window.

I dont see problems with "shading" with proper training. With my light set up there is 0 shade anywhere in my room....

Nutrient competition... Im using no till soil so the soil is living, so if im adding enough inputs for both of them then there shoudnt be an issue

I too recieved alot of negative about 2 plants per pot.

Flip side is its the internet... No one ever has proof its bad..how do you know the skill level of the grower? For all you know they were trying it in a 10 gallon pot..

I mainly wanna do 2 plants per pot just to prove everyone wrong

a lot of the time I post more on my thread than anyone else it can get lonesome

I didn't mean to come off as critical.
Someone has to have the balls to try something, and I think itll be fine maybe really good even.
I grow in home made soils, drop a banana peel on the surface and it's completely gone in a week.
Didn't mean they would shade each other out lol.
I meant when you flip the switch they'll blame each other and race for the light. Nature loves competition. I'll be watching and good luck man!

Just stating my thoughts. No biggie. Im hoping it works out too

I'm probably gonna copy your idea if you don't mind.
I'm collecting big name seeds and making a seed library or personal bank, and just planting the male and female together makes sense since I'm only after seeds.

Nice. Im going to strat breeding once i get this going... I wanna eventually be growing my own strains. I got a decent seed stash... Every 6 months il go crazy and buy a ton of seeds.

Very nice. Im a sativa fan. Diesel and hazes are my favortie. Im actually over due for another pick up but iv been bizy building this grow.
