Hi all... Please feel free to post in here.!!!!!
So i live in Spain, I live off grid on solar power, but it is a big system and 300 days of sunshine a year..
I started growing out of necessity, So i set about building a room specifically for the purpose.
The room is partially underground and extremely stealthy. (It is legal to grow a few plants here in spain, but i am beyond that, although it is for personal use between 3 of us)
Ive tried a few mad ideas, some have worked, some have failed... but i do try !! No doubt ill cover these little experiments later..
First grow was 20 plants, all under LED, and fairly successful. Since then its expanded to 49 plants in flower room, 60 or so in a veg tent, and another 40 or so seeds and cuttings on the go.
Ill post some pics up later...
Room spec is as follows
Flower room is 3mx5m and has 4 x Wilma big 8 pots (although 10 in each) all piped together to so its one big reservoir.
I grow in pure clay balls and use whatever nutrient i can get cheaply.
I use 8 x Meihzi 600w leds primarily, but have been given a few HPS lights for free so i have chucked them in as well, although they dont do as well as the LEDS.
I run a chiller constantly, and a calor gas fire to up the CO2 ppm to about 1200 even though its not a sealed room. YES IT WORKs !!!!
A couple of 250 RVK fans and a GSE controller and a massive filter.
In a separate tent i have a Wilma big 9 and a 600w HPS which is also joined into the main res.
Another small 8 pot tent for anything oddball im playing with.
Seperate veg tent that holds about 60 5ltr pots with home made hydro system.
2 x 20 pot aeroponics systems for cuttings.
In my opinion, and my experience... LED has come of age, i have performed a few test and am continuing to do so pitting LED against HPS.. more to follow..
