Hand Trimming vs. Machine Trimming

Okay lets be real guys: Machine trimming is super convenient and the thought of not having to hire a group of dudes to do trimming full time sounds like an awesome decision and a great investment... But from what I've seen the general consensus is that the machine trimmers typically to a hatchet job to the bud and rips all the trichomes off the bud, and if it does that then what IS the point of using these machine trimmers like the centurion pro, zoom tech, twister, etc? I get that the output is fast but if you're hurting the quality is it really worth it?

Then there is those in betweens like the wander trimmer which is a hand trimmer but with a little motor on it, I feel like with these trimmers and the right training you can trim the bud really well and preserve the trichomes. If you aren't careful with that trimmer and have heavy hands though, chances are you'll probably dig into the trichomes still.

Lets talk Hand Trimming vs Machine Trimming, any reasons why Machine trimming could still be good minus the trichome issue, and your favorite trimmers!

I love trimming my harvest.
I got my bucket to sit on, my container for the trim (edibles), my music, my Fosters and my pipe to smoke all that goo that sticks on my fingers
What more can you ask for in life?
Well, there are a couple of things, but trimming is up there with one of the best things to do on a weekend afternoon in my humble opinion :)

Man, I wish they made an air freshener that smelled like ripe bud, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Actually, I was thinking about marketing a scented car air freshener, like those things you hang from your mirror, and instead of pine scent, it would be bud scent.
Might lead to problems with the coppers if you got pulled over though. :)

i spent 6k on the centurion pro mini,, best money ever spent.,.. i like wet tumble trimmers,, i cut all plants down and spend 4-5 hours cutting buds off the stem, into the hopper, then run it all through the centurion pro,, takes about 1 hour to trim 3-4 lbs.. before the trimmer my wife and i would spend 6 hours a day for 3 days hand trimming.... yes bud quality is better hand trimming,, but the trimmer works pretty well and saves me tons of time.. i still make lots of hash from the clippings.. i had spent money on bowl trimmers,,,, CRAP,, then the mean green trimming machine,, table top unit,, again CRAP!!! I KNOW 6 K IS ALOT OF MONEY BUT IT WORKS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED...

I would love to see of some bud trimmed by the centurion pro, if you have any pics. I've been talking to a lot of trimmer companies lately and I had one guy tell me that these big trimmers butcher the trichomes unless you have something like Toms Tumbling Bladeless Trimmer

you can get a nice press out of the sugar leaf.

but once you start getting in to the high end flower cannabis connoisseur buyers:
most always prefer hand work.

also, if you look at all the past cannabis cup winners, from most events none of them are machine finished.

a fully automated curing system, dryers, trimmers, and packing. saves time, and money.

high volume standard types, often offer a "select" or "hand crafted" product in their line up.

From what I've seen in videos and speaking w people these are my findings:

For Highest Output: ZoomTech Double Barrell

For Smaller Setups & The Patient People: Hand Trimmers or the bonsai trimmer if you want it to be automatic

For Best Kief Collecting and hash making: EZTRIM Satellite

For Large Scale Trimming but Trichome preserving: Ultra Trimmer Industrial
