Hard soil

recently i had started a new grow and everything is going perfectly

the only thing i was wondering was, is it bad that my soil is really compacted? everytime i water my plants it usually takes a little while for the water to soak in all the way. its like a puddle for a min or something. is the going to be any kind of problem?

the only thing i have noticed is that its harder for roots to grow/penetrate when the soil is hard.. i like having it real loose

u have a good amount of perlite/coco in ur mix? perhaps time to run a tiny, tiny bit of dish soap through her next time its plain watering time. how long has she been in that pot?

i germed them into dixie cups and transplanted them to their current pots a little over a month ago
