Poor timing maybe. I am planning on taking a month long road trip leaving on the 1st. My plants have been flowering for 6.5 weeks. I know I can probably get more yield if I grew out longer but need to cure prior to my trip.

Does anyone have insight as to what I should do?

Do these pics help?

Thanks for any help

better to lose out on some cure before the trip than have bud that's straight up not going to get you high. keep growing.

You already know what your gonna do. If not I'll tell ya what you gonna do.

Your going to chop that poor lil immature plant exactly one week before your planned departure.

Next your gonna dry most of it properly, the rest will go in the microwave or oven for a few "samples".

After 5 or so days you are gonna weigh it and put it in jars to start curing it. When you pack for this trip, you are gonna pack half of your
jars in your suitcase planning to burp them while on the trip. The rest of the jars, the ones you left at home, will be in a closet at home growing mold from all of that trapped moisture that's not getting released.

You will start smoking this "curing" weed right from the start so don't fool yourself. But as you continue to smoke it you realize that the bud your smoking now is better than the last bud you smoked. That's cause it has cured longer. And if it's anything like my first ATEMPT at curing, the last bud will have been curing long enough to say its ready to start smoking now. Now that it's all gone.

Oh but wait! I have those 3 or 4 jars at home. Well my friend don't count on it. Those jars at home with that wet ass weed have molded and are no longer considered something to smoke.

Lesson learned. Now you know. I speak from experience.

Do what you have to do but I wouldn't wanna go thru all that's involved in getting your first plant to harvest just to fuck it off at the end.

I'd wait and harvest at 9 weeks then dry and put in jars. I don't cure my bud per se. I put it in glass candy jars with a air tight wooden top and take out what I need each day and let the rest cure as I'm smoking. Works great for me.In my opinion there is too much emphasis on curing. Trust me if you've used good seeds and grew properly you should have good smokeable stoneable bud this way. .
