Harvest in rain and full moon

Hey stoners,

I have some outdoor plants that are ready to harvest. I just tried my third sample. It still sparks a little and the ash is nearly black. The buzz is awesome. Clearing buzz, if you know what I mean. Anyway, since there are still traces of fertilizer, as I can hear it spark, I was wondering if I should wait a little longer. But now it's getting pretty nasty outside. One plant already turned a little purple. I think my strain is rather resistant to cold outdoors. I got the seeds from a West Virginia mountain grower! But this time I have probably more than 10 ounces on three plants. The buds are gigantically swollen in the Appalachian sun. There was rarely rain. Maybe a total of 7 days since May. Of course I watered frequently, but maybe I fed to much (they're flowered organically, I stopped feeding with the beginning of October). Now the weather forecast says 4 days of rain coming.

So my question for you guys is, should I wait for these day to pass? How many days should I wait after the coming days of rain? What is the temperature, that really determines the harvest? Do I have to be afraid of getting mold on my superior buds?

Also: Some hippies told me to wait for full moon (coming soon) and harvest when the moon is in highest position at night. Did someone ever tried to be so spiritual with this?

one of my outdoor plants this year got catepillar induced bud rot and i chopped it down in the rain when i noticed (was afraid it would turn to mold and ruin the whole plant) It dried fine was a bitch to manicure tho everything stuck to it..

hey m. toker, did you get these giant green caterpillars with the thorn on the back? I caught one put it in a jar. he likes green tomatoes. he eats on a day!
Anyways, thanks for responding so quickly.

hey GI Joe, I think the full moon thing is just funny, but I live in the foothills of the Appalachians. People have intersting experiences sometimes. This summer I got a giant mosquito bite, it put me in bed. I had a weird pain all over my body for three days, then it was over, from one hour to the other. There was nothing left to explain when I finally could see a doctor. Smoking weed did not help! I wished it did. Anyways, thanks for responding so quickly.

hey tusseltussel, does it still rain? I can see it's coming from the west. I know a hippie who grows turnip on his own poop and sells it on the farmers market.
