You do not want the fan directly on them.
You just want to circulate the air around them.

Depending on the plant mass per plant I would say 1-2 weeks (more if bigger plant) and then start curing.

You dont necessarily need to have a fan on them, but just air out your closet every once in a while. There's not a necessarily a "right" way to know they're dry, just think about when you want bud to be like that you smoke anyway. Just make sure that the bud isnt crumbling, bc then its overdry. You're going to cure the shit anyways, so that'll get rid of the last bit of humidity.

I have to agree with Moxtox.. I don't think you have anything to worry about as fa as that goes.. Just good air cirulation and check them daily to see how they're doing. You should be able to judge when they're dry enough.. And Congratulations on your Harvest..

Yea,
Most all of my buds dry in a week. I dont use a fan on them either. Unless its high humidity, like over 50% Then just blow under them not on them. After a week I toss them into a paper bag 24hrs then into the jars.

I hang in a dry dark place for about 3-4 days with a fan blowing for air circulation...not on them but under them. After the initial hang time, off they go into paper bags for a day or two. Once they are dry on the outside and the stem almost snaps when bent, they get sent to the mason jars for a good month of curing.
