Harvest yet?!

Starting to get concerns that I'm overcooking the plant....

Found my journal!!

May 24 - I switched to 12/12 lighting.
(10.5 weeks ago today)

June 10 - first pistils appeared.
(8 weeks ago today)

All the Trichomes are cloudy. None amber. None look clear as far as I can tell.
Hairs are 80-100% red/brown.

Cut now? Or still wait...

Im wondering if this is one of those strains that trichomes don't turn amber.

Also, the buds all turned a dark plum purple, which I'm not sure is good or bad. (you can see in the photos)

It's bag seed. But the weed it came out of wasn't purple...
I'm kinda surprised.

It smells amazing though. So fumey...
Just a great gassy skunky smell.

Love both of your buds. I'm not good at calling when someone else should chop. If I had those buds and chopped I don't think I would be disappointed. There is nothing wrong with chopping some now and chopping the rest in a week and comparing. If you are going to be growing those seeds again could be useful info.

I never go by trichomes anymore. Trichomes are very misleading. The best way for me is to look at how calyxes change shape in final days. You can wait until the calyxes have swollen and pistils have receded.

You need to wait at least 1 week to 10 days IMO. Never make the mistake of cutting too early.

What's your medium? What are you feeding your plant? How much?
.

How are they misleading? Never seen or heard of going by calyxes. All trichromes will turn and that's the best way to tell all trichromes degrade and turn. Now not all of the hairs will turn brown depending on strain but trichromes will turn. Can they be different colors? Yes but all turn cloudy to a degree and brown as the degrade.

Yes I have a dog and a cat. My dog sheds like her hair is toxic.... I'm over it lol

I have very limited space and it's filled to capacity. Next grow hopefully I'll have room for a proper grow station, air filtration etc. Best I could do with the tools available.

Anyway, today while I was checking the purple colouring out to see if it was actually mold,
(I'm still not sure if it's black mold or purple genetics) I found a few amber crystals!

So, I cut her down!
