When it's time to chop, wait another week. Go in and trim or pluck off all fan leaves the day of harvest and cut down branches to manageable size into bags , thick poly bags work well double wrapped and seal well for transport. Hang dry indoors preferably with a fan on low and carbon filter with fan for smell. DEhumidifier may be required depending on your humidity in the drying area. I trim wet as to discover and rid of bud rot before hanging in mesh nets. I normally hang the best buds on strings. Sometimes I'll hang and dry for a few days before trimmin. After 4-5 days when the outside of the bud is getting crispy they go into paper bags for a few days burping as needed. Then Into jars burping every few days finally sealing with a bovida dessicant pack. You can also hang fully and seal in Tupperware or bucket once dry until you can trim. It is not advisable to dry outdoors in most conditions.

Smaller size tarp's are handy. You can throw branches or even small plants on length ways, and roll up the tarp, tape and its ready to be manhandled.
It can be a dangerous time so make sure you have a plan and any vehicle you may use go over twice, you dont want to be stopped cause you have a brake light out. You and the vehicle will smell- a lot.
