Harvesting help please!

is there a good way to tell when it's harvest time by looking at the little white hairs

when 70 to 80 percent of the pistils turn amber its time to harvest

Actually, the color amber is a dark yellow, and I've never seen any pistils turn to that color. The pistils are AKA "white hairs," and when they wither, they usually turn a brown or dark red color, and are then known as "red hairs."

So frog is right about that, when 80% of the white hairs have turned.

The amber is the color that the resin becomes when it is past ripe and starting to degrade. The resin is inside the trichomes, which are AKA little mushroom-shaped glands.

as stated above 80 pecent hair change an you will notice that the calaxs are swollewn like there seeded..but the best way is with the 10$ magnifying glass from radio shac...look at tri's...

Everyone, stop looking at the pistils. Buy a 60x-100 pocket microscope at radio shack for $13 and look at your trichombs (crystals)
