Well, this is just my third grow ever. the first two were og kush and it ran for 86 days! (sig link). From what i've read, this nl should finish up in 9-10 weeks.
I can only flower one at time with one in veg, have another nl bean soaking right now, it's probably popped by now and ready for soil..
I still have two seeds from nirvana chillin' in the fridge, Blackjack and White Widow... and still one remaining OG Kush from ILGM.

i know its tough with only 1 in veg and one in bloom but u may try to find a place to take and keep clones.. ive run 50 different strains over the last year,, trying to find somthing better than my th bubble gum,,its hard finding a real good mother that not only produces but has the quality ur after too..just my opinion but if u find a killer plant, chances are the other 9 seeds wont look or be anything like her,,so cloning is the only good way of keeping a strain u like,, ive even created S1's of a strain using silver spray and the S1's wer NOT identicle to the original,,very dissapointing...

Am planning to try something with some color soon, thinking blueberry. I think lower temps, as in nature, brings out the colors.

Look closely at this early photo, zoom it if you can, and notice where the branches intersect with the main stalk... It looks as though there is a bead of green silicone or something around 'em. og kush did not do that i don't think.

Week 4 - Day 28
I only topped this one once and she didn't quite fill the screen. Been reading a bit about monster cropping (flowering clones) and will definitely be trying that but already have another NL started so may try FIM on it and try to root some flowering clones from that one.

IVE TRIED MONSTER CROPPING,,IMO its a waste of time.. a plant thats already flowering takes forever to go back into a veg state.. in the time it takjes you couldve just vegged a female to the size u needed.. the sog or scrog is a much faster way,,pluss reverting plants from bloom to veg and back is stressfull so keeping a clone mom is tough..give it a try,,youll probably go back to just veging longer,,but it may work better for a person growing from seed every run,,,i have 2 rooms so one for moms and clones then my bloom..so i can run new mothers and still keep clones or clone moms of my prefered strain,,TH seeds bubble gum,,ive run 50 different strains and cant replace her yet,,lshe produces well and has crystals like white widow

Thanks a lot for that info! am NOT gonna try it now. Actually, i think i topped the last one (ogk in sig) 3 times and she turned out great but i did have to trim a shitload of top leaves... more than i wanted to but they were blocking light to bud-sites just above the screen. Since i can only flower one at a time and one in veg... trying to time it so i can have one flowering all the time gives me plenty of time to veg one out while one is flowering but leaves little room for experimentation and mistakes.
That cabinet is only about 3 sq. ft. and the light is already as high as it will go. think i am vegging too long (6 to 8 weeks from sprout)? does longer veg = higher yields?

The way I up-pot 'em it takes that long to build a root ball. i start out in a solo cup, then let it root up a one gallon pot, then let it root, what i believe to be, a 3 gallon pot, then into the 10 gallon flower container. last grow it had completely rooted up the 10 gallon container after harvest. couldn't believe it, almost looked root-bound and may have been!

6-8 WEEKS ISNT ALOT FOR A SEED.. i think 6 weeks is just a minimum for maturity..now a clone vegged for 6 weeks is different as its a branch from an already mature plant.. i see plenty of guys here vegging for 10 weeks or more in large plant grows..i prefer a fast sog, rooted clones get no more than 2 weeks in veg then i pack 30 plants into a 4ftx6ft area,,50 days in bloom, finish.. i keep it timed out so wen my bloom is 6 weeks in i take clones, they have just enough time to root then veg a week or so..so the day i pull, i clean, and put in 30 more...no down time...
why not start in the 10 gallon? no transplanting or shock n stress related to it??
i use gh maxi series and sometimes nova,, i tested nutes for 5 years and found the general hydro line to have the best cost to yield,,and plant health... dont waste money on additives,,most are not needed..do a run with, then without,,results will amaze you..

well, i think i am just entirely too lazy to do clones.
I have been looking at alternative nutrients tho... Being new to it all, i went in with the mentality of "you get what you pay for" so am using AN but the cost is... well, you know.
I do like their pH. Perfect base nutes tho and will continue using that (back to the lazy thing). I also like the Bud Candy although I don't think i have been giving it enough. I feed proportionally to the base nutes and may be screwing up in doing so, for example, I just increased the base dosage from 70% to 80% recommended (divided by 2 feeds/wk) is my base feeding mix (trying to burn her a little), i then do the same 80% calculation on the supplements... keeping things in proportion but always looks like it needs more cal-mag than what i have been giving it.

As for starting in the 10 gallon, don't have the space for anything that large in veg cab and while i have no proof, i think it's better building a controlled root-ball but what do i know...
*edit* plus they get a dose of fresh soil and plain water periodically. goes against the laziness but think its worth the extra effort.

I am looking forward to your progress.
I can help with the nutrient aspect if you want to hit me up. I create nutrients from scratch to fit specific strain profiles. At least 75% savings (especially if you are using AN). I have my own A-B nutrient formula made for NL#5
I grew this strain from Nirvana Seeds. If yellowing appears, just do a foliar spray with 1 tsp Epsom salt per gallon of RO water. In 2 days plants will green right up. This will also contribute to any forming buds.
