Has anyone used the HIGROW 1000W Double Chips LED Grow Light Full Spectrum

Hello All

Just kind of wondering if anyone has had any success with this LED system and if so are the worth trying out ?
It's getting to the point of either getting a wind generator or something to lower my Power Consumption,

I been using HID for years and a bit scared of change but willing to try if I hear good reviews from anyone who may be able to give any, I know there are some really expensive ones in my new catalog Solar System but before I spend 1800.00 on a LED system I want to know how one works or at least get some info. I would try a cheaper one just to see, I figure the 1000 watt from HIGROW would be a start, then move to the 1100 Solar System if the cheaper one will do okay..
Thanks to anyone who helps me out with any good info...
Happy trails all :)

I do not have experience with that light, but I think you would probably be better off with your HID.
Most people here a have a very low opinion of the cheap Amazon/ebay blurple lights, they tend to be crap.
They are inefficient and lower power than claimed. It's not a 1000 watt light, the adds I see say 100, 200 and 400 watts.
For the same money you could buy or build a much better light.

Give the dimensions of your grow area and the people here can give you some very solid recommendations.

EDIT: I see HydoDan just gave 3 good suggestions.^

It will NOT do okay. Guaranteed you will be VERY dissatisfied. It is not the equivalent of an 1000W HID or anywhere near that. I did a break down of a similar product.
Less than 100w. It uses really shitty inefficient LED drivers, the LEDs are driven at less than 1 Watt. The LEDs have extremely low efficacy. The design of the LEDs is from about 20 years ago for which the Lumiled patent has expired. The PAR map is a joke. At 24" that thing would not hit 100 µmols.

The seller is a liar and a fraud.

10Watt Bridgelux/Epileds = 100% bullshit.

1000 Watt??? No possible way. Beyond bullshit, it outright fraud.

The one I broke down had 132 LEDs and by appearance this 1000W is no where near as good.

This is the measured spectrum and the center PPFD measurement was 93 µmol.

you need min. 4 of those panels to substitute 1000W HID better 5

not really the best option and quality -
they tend to get hot, because the chinise give a shit on low temp.& current efficiency
and drive the lamp build @ temps that will destroy them after ~2 year of use(~15000h)

The cheapest led light is the one that gives you the biggest harvest for the watts over the years.
As a watercooler i harvest weed & heat. I substitute oil with green electricity
and need 17m² of solarpanel + 1000W watercooled lamp system to prepare hot service water, heating in winter + add. electricity for other needs(1000KWh/y) .

Have a look to good chips and drivers and build a watercooled DIY lamp - is my suggestion
Look out for low current efficiency + light heat cogeneration and drive your lamp with renewables like a champion.

Okay everyone Thanks So Very much for all the input. that ends my endover with those cheap LEDs. So does anyone here have any input on the Solar System LEDs. and if you do, have you tried them ? I am looking into the links sent and will more than likely build my own.
I am a Auto Mechanic so building and Wiring is right in my ballpark,
Thank you all very much I am up for any input also, I really need to lower my Carbon footprint.

check this out and tell me what you think.
