There are many different aspects to consider and discuss when it comes to hps vs led, and new info will continue to become available. The only dead horse is led par w efficiency. Don't be such a collaborator, if you don't have anything useful to contribute to the thread just bugger off. Cutting the head of this thread will make two others appear anyway.
We got the point 50 pages ago...you are just rehashing the same thing over and over, the dead horse = same topic for 53 pages, i'm not taking either side I just think this has gone on long enough.

No, that's just not true. We covered costs, temps, color differences and various effects and many different points not even made yet 50 pages ago. I would agree it has gone on long enough if that referred to the pointless replies...

Thanks for posting that link though... that's just grand.

Do any of you have an example of a non-scrog cob grow? Similar to Subcool's quadrant approach?
Are cobs best suited to scrog growing?
Why do you think that light is different from an led than from any other source. Didn't know hps had special photons now...crazy ass hortilux tech.
And when did the use of a trellis instead of stakes or a tomato cage become "scrog"?

Sig worthy!
You left off the best part of my quote,
Or whatever # your using lmao.please tell me that pic you posted isnt another 3# plant haha.

On a serious note those pics greenjeans posted do suggest the cobs are yielding like hps.but a gavita de and equal cob setup side by side from a decent grower is needed around here.would be nice if it was done in the same room with a divider between them.

Made me squint my eyes... Still nuts, but better than the lanky stem plants you posted earlier.

Ah the irony considering your jungle... Trellis, stakes, tomato cages, are for support. The use of a trellis or a net becomes a scrog when it's used (horizontally) as a SCReen to create a proper Screen of Green, essentially to mimic a SOG (Sea of Green) but with lower plant count than 1 main cola per plant (the fastest way to get max yield). Since plant count is an issue mostly with cannabis it's unlike some other forum terms not just a cool stoner term. What many here call a scrog is nothing close to what it is mean to be and completely ignores the whole point of a scrog. A scrog is like training wheels and with topping and cropping one can achieve the same goal, a uniform field of colas or donkey dicks even.

So @Sativied or anyone else who cares to answer. I'm in the market for a pair of double end 1kw light fixtures. I'd like to give it a shot, what do you recommend?

The main point of this debate is support your claims. If your not gong to do that there is no point in being here.
Again, COBS are efficient, but the price is 2-3x a DE with the same yield. Sure you spend some on HVAC, but with COB you spend on large scale heating. Evens itself out.
Have no ides how you cannot run numbers.
so you think hid is is better for commercial because its supplies heat ?
and you think the extra power to remove that heat is trivial ?

LOL what a fool you are.

why in gods name do you insist on showing us how stupid you are ?

Straight up, you want to call me a liar, come right out and say it. Don't beat around the bush and question my credibility without proof, or you're just another chump talking out your asshole.

That kind of shit is how you ran me off from SkunkSkool- btw, has the owner of that site thanked you for that stunt yet?- but I'm well known here and you're still the one looking and acting like a jackass.

@Sativied ever used a COB before?
So you're saying we cannot rely on the results and fictional data in this forum, other forums, and the huge amount of proper led research? We partly agree then.

Would my results hooking up a cob to a driver significantly change all the data available in this forum and thus render the claims in the Bibled useless? For which of my comments would having used a COB before make a decisively convincing argument and better than the facts I provided?

And last but not least, why do you participate in forums if you are not able to learn from the results from many rather than your own perception... same for googling comparisons... why o why if you are not able to separate fact from fiction and determine credibility and reliability. You sound like tty, pretended doing a side-by-side trying to prove something but claims it's useless to others...

Apparently using a cob will change its output magically and give it special photons one can only experience when touching it. Plenty of people testing cobs already, me using one isn't going to change the wellknown facts.

Coming from a guy who thinks a 150w hps pulls 400watts...

I got a similar "state-of-art light" as tty, manufactured by Carton Lighting.

Now let me ask you something, have you ever finished a decent grow?
