Heat Damage question

I have a single female plant that has been growing for the past few months. It's growing indoors, but I'm still using light from outside. For how cold it's been I'm surprised it's even made it this far (it's approximately 15 in.) recently I decided it may stimulate growth if I were to heat the area around the plant more. I used a little space heater, which was placed near the plant. As I was arranging the area a little more I turned the space heater on. less than a minute later, I immediately noticed some shrivled leaves. I removed the heater at once, and soon after decided to prune the damaged leaves. The plant seems okay, but it has only been a day. I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced something similar to this, and also if there are still a few damaged leaves is it bad for the rest of the plant? Will it recover?

You have been growing that for a couple of months? And you used a space heater to stimulate growth on your plant? Is this correct?

Is this serious?
