It's not uncommon to receive typical readings when measuring multiple Vero cobs, such as forward voltage. I would go as far as saying that to create a successful parallel configuration, factors, such as fan size/speed, heat sink size, layer of TIM, and series of cob, all need to be close to being the same, as each factor dictates how the given cob will perform. If all cobs are of the same series and bin and are under the same conditions, including performance, then there's nothing to worry about.

When I first started play with the COBs myself, I checked forward voltage between multiple parallel COBs, with minimal variation between each. Less than .02 volts. It might have been .2 volts, but either way, minimal.

Which account here do you see swimming about do you think is secretly me? Lol.

The Cree CXB3590 CD 3500K 36V cob runs around 70% efficient at ~400mA or 13W**. All my data can be found on my resource page.

I can only suspect things based off of previous accounts where a given company that sold red and white led panels had the same IP address with various accounts. They were called out by @BadKarma.

The point here is that it's comical to think that you have more knowledge over this matter than I do when you haven't even created a DIY cob panel. So you absorbed some data and wisdom from others around this forum and now know how to parrot. Great. But do you have any real world experience with these lights? Just because I watch a video on cooking doesn't automatically make me a chief.

My dislike for the owner of the company is no secret and I'm not alone in this. Don't care for his apparent lack of ethics and the way he talks down to others that disagree with him. I know he had some early quality control issues and he should have sorted that out long ago so he may have a good product now. But that said,I would never tell anyone to buy his lights. Just my biased two cents.
He hasn't fixed his QC issues. He's putting components in his lights that aren't properly rated for the wattage. Unprofessional as hell too when I tried to get him to fix his negligent mistake.

DIY builds are fun and cheap to do but may not stack well in comparison to commercial-based fixtures for beginners. While the concept of assembling cob-based fixtures has been repeatedly demonstrated by many here, including myself, there's a bunch to be taken in that happens with lots of practice, which can be costly. In short, if it's your first diy build, don't expect your own fixture to be running in par with commercial fixtures.

@hotshotisdashit

Captainmorgan has a right to not like me, as I've been known to start shit with him and Area51, so we're naturally prone to butt heads. Area 51 has been building led fixtures for awhile now but started building cob fixtures around late summer of last year.

As for Fran, I don't know what their deal is with me exactly. They seem very good at finding and pasting succulent LED news articles though, so we thank you Franny,

As for the rest of em' that don't take lightly of me, they'll say one thing but are truly bonded to one of the other cob fixture company owners from this site, plain and simple as that. I'll butt heads with anyone who needs it but am naturally inclined to sympathize and assist with anyone who isn't apart of a special interest group or following. As for my customers, they have nothing but great things to say about me, especially when comparing my service to other cob based companies, no names that need mentioned.

If you haven't already, check out robincnn's fixtures at https://northerngrowlights.com.
Not true of your customers!
