Hello! First grow.

Hi all,

Much thanks for all your help over the last few months getting this great hobby started. Currently in week 7 flower of Crop-King's Black Indica.

A bit of history on this very simple grow:
-Planted in dollar store potting soil on July 18, emerged on the 20th.
-Vegged under one 23w cfl 2700k until topped and lst'd on August 8th.
-Vegged under two 23w cfl 2700k until switched to 12/12 on August 28th.
-Nutes: Schultz 10-15-10 at regular strength during veg, half strength during flower.
-Pistils emerged on the 1st of September.
-Growing beautifully for the most part, currently 24 inches with 4 nice colas and 2 mini ones.
-Have had to flush twice due to slowed growth but both times the plant perked up immediately.
-Adding another 23w cfl @ 6500k to finish, seems to be helping a lot.

Hey homie. Might have your Veg and flower lights switched. Use 5000k-6500k to veg and 2700k at flower for best results

Howdy mrpuffins. Haha yeah backwards. I'm doing this on the ultra cheap and using what's on hand. Plant loves the 2700 though. Thanks for the link.

I'll post some pics in a grow journal soon.

A few examples. Still at least a week away, especially on the bottom of the colas. Although not obvious in the pics, the top leaves are tinted black and the nugs are turning a graphite like colour. Smells like pine/cheese.

id say ur more like a month away.

Yeah the plant is all over the place. Harvested one cola yesterday going amber, though another is still mostly clear. No rush. What specifically makes you think a month? Thanks.

They just dont look near ready to me. At least not that ones in the pic. Lots of white Pistils that havent turned let alone started to recead. Look like the buds still have some swelling to do to.

You're probably right. Going nine-ten weeks is about right. I'm sure I've made more than a couple mistakes, slowing her down. I'll let you know how the first cola smokes. Cheers!

Yeah post before you harvest. The white pistils say you got time. They should be all be orange and half are turning in to the plant. also for ten bux get a scope to see the trichs. More than worth it

But I would recommend heavily against harvesting yet based on those pics

The main reason its going to be a long flowering period is the same as mine Watts, or lack of them.

Veg period doesnt need many at all, flower period likes heaps.

Appreciate all the advice guys. Thank you. I'll be patient with the plant. Seems to be uneffected by the partial harvest. Fattening up and pistils turning red!

Any recommendations for a cheapish flowering nute?
