I'd get the 405w blackstar chrome from Gotham hydroponics. It's $100 more than the advanced but has free shipping. Gotham has given me great customer service. A friend of mine runs the first generation black star to good effect.

I am running 2 of these vipar leds in my 2x4 tent with great results, the customer service is great with vipar also here is my critical sensi star mainlined using the 2 vipar 400w ledsnew ML1.jpgnew ML3.jpgnew ML2.jpg

Does your friend use any supplemental lighting? also does he run it for the full cycle?

Sometimes he's ran straight led, some grows he used a hps as well. Big set up I believe. Look up reefbongwell 's grow threads

Nice mainline, dude! Have you been doing this technique for a while? It looks interesting...I've been thinking of trying it. It looks like it produces a beautiful canopy. How long does it take to get fully grown out before you flip to flower?

actually, this was my first one it is going so well I don't think I will ever do another grow any other way. all and all I figured it added 1.5 weeks to the veg.
