Help buying led

Lets make this simple, I dont want to spend more than 400 usd, already used mars hydro 900w on the past with great results for 1 x 1 x 2. Want to get a bit bigger yield. I am open to try other than mars but I like them because of the customer support and already know the brand. So far been thinkin on getting one big 1200w mars or 3 smaller lights from them. Would love the help, I am not DIY by any chance, I will grow 2 times and sell everything. Thanks for your help! :D

Look into the HLG 260 for $325. Some assembly is required, but not complicated.

For that price range you can get some nice lights. Check out the hlg site for the quantom boards or the timber site for a Vero fixture. IIRC timber is running a sale through December.

Do yourself a favor, and spend that money wisely, you and your plants will not regret it.

Guys thanks a lot for yout input, both of those light I have on sight but not much info about yield online. Used to yield max 450 grams with the mars so I am hopping to get more with these lights you reccomend.

So far the HLG 260 looks great and the Vero Model 2VL also.

THANKS!!!!

My last run was with 5x vero29 running on 1.75a driver, using a dimmer the max I gave was 80% (around 250w) from the wall. It produced in a 2.6*2.6 tent 380g dry, of dense, resin packed buds.

Hoping to get even more now that I added some QBs.

Your going to really enjoy your run with either of these light.

Best of luck

So you got a pound in a 3'x3' with a Mars 900? That's 1 gram per watt with a light that's not overly efficient. You could probably equal that with 320w of cob or QB boards.
Unfortunately for $400 you're only going to get about 240w-260w of cob or QB unless there's a good sale on something I'm unaware of. The only options I see (I like to err on the side of too much power) is DIY or spend another $100 or so. For $569 (after discount) you can get 400w of Vero 29 from Timber which would spank that tent and your expectations. For $520 (before discount) you can get 2 of the T22's from Tasty and get the same 400w.

I would simply add a few Samsung F-Series strips around the Mars unit to increase light output.
2 2ft double row strips(50w/25$ each) and 2 4ft strips(100w/48$ each) and a HLG-320(93$) for additional 300w.
F-Strips are easy to assemble, as easy as Quantumboards. All you need to do is to glue them to the metal and poke-in two wires..
That should double your current PAR values and would only cost $ 300, including c-channels for attaching the strips.
I do not see this as a DIY, I see it more as a kind of modular system that anyone can build together like a tent or an Ikea cabinet!

Well I just want to buy the light and grow, so thanks a lot ppl for the input. So far its betwen:
- HLG 260 for $325
- Vero Model 2VL $320

I like the HLG more because of customer support, they reply super fast to my mail and shipping is just 45 more, also they stated it replaces a 600w hps (the mars said 450 hps). I think its going to be amazing, I am a pro grower because in my country is legal to grow and we have over 40 growshops around the city. Also follow the Bibble of cannabis by jorge cervantes.

Thanks again!

You are talking lots of light now, what are you doing space wise?
Like how many tents or feet are you trying to cover?
There is a limit to how much light plants can use. If you increase light 10 times, you are not getting 10 times the yield. You are getting a dead plant in a pot with a slightly sterilized top.
