Help! Canoeing leaves?

So I have this one 2 week old cookies kush plant that is canoeing terribly. This all started a few days ago and has only gotten worse. In a 1 gallon pot with ffof. Temps rang from 73-81 and humidity 40-50% I feel like it shouldn't be heat related, but I don't know. The lights are a custom made led fixture with 3 Vero 29s and sit about a foot away from the top of the plant. I first noticed the canoeing the daybi fim'ed her. I also watered that day. 20170616_115354.jpg

I would say your light fixture is probably too close to your plant for its young age. Try moving it up a few inches or dimming it.

I had this happening to me recently. I don't know what exactly the issue was but I did make changes and the leaves flattened back out.

I had a fan blowing straight at the plant, I moved the fan so that it didn't disturb the plant at all and just created air flow.

I ran my dehumidifier at 55%

Switched from led to cfl bulbs

Stopped foliar feeds

I also was bringing my plant inside and putting it outside during the day. I started leaving it always inside.

I made a ton of changes and something stopped the tacoiing or canoeing effect for me.

Just throwing out ideas!goodluck!

yeah I agree I think they roll up on edges or canoe upwards to try and conserve moisture, BUT I would move the light up also like double for now or at least until you figure this out then slowly bring it down to a normal height for that diy light.

Is your environment very dry?

Do you have fan blowing on the plant too much reducing RH localy to the plant regardless of room RH? That cupping upward leaves is the way the plant conserves moisture.. is why I ask these things

See the lower leaves all weak thin and droopy. Turgor pressure is too low. water up the stem creates a pressure that leaves/stalks will stand up strong pumping them up, so the thought again is something to do with too dry conditions.. just some thoughts, I don't know anything for sure.

Also the weak thin nature of those leaves makes me think your lights are not strong enough. Low light condition just past the main top. No penetration.

Good luck.

I have since faced the fan more away from them, raised the light about 6 inches and reduced the amperage going the lights. Things seem to be greatly improving. Thanks for the help!

Its called "Vapor Presure" google it,, lots of info
get your grow area in range on this chart,, and the leafs will go back to normalvapor_pressure_deficit_relative_humidity_chart_small.jpg

couldnt possibly be a soil/feeding issue?
I never mutilate my leaves and I never use ffof and I always have plants right in front of the fans and
one gets warm air from the dehuey .........
and I never see canoeing.
