I just moved my setup into my attic yeaterday. When I set the timer, I think I set it to manual mode or something, because hy HPS was on all night which is normal, but when i got home from work, it was still on! My plant looks fried. It gets up to like 90 or 95 up there (if my thermometer is right) during the day, so I had the timer set to go on at night. But with the 400 watt light and the daytime heat, it must have been reallt hot. Please tell me if there is anything i can do... or am i screwed? Thanks

Poor little thing- looks like it was nuked...You might be able to save it by taking it easy with the light for a week, misting it a lot, maybe throw some superthrive in the mix ASAP....Most likely it's a goner but some of the pros around here may be able to give you a tip or 2..

Good luck

thanks for the help. actually, this plant had a very rough life. when i was home for spring break, i greminated some seeds to show my friend how. then i just put them in a pile of dirt just for shits and giggles. next time i came home from school it grew.... then it grew more... then i transplanted it into a garden and it grew more all without any human intervention. i didnt even water the thing... now i just got an hps for it, and fucked it up. oh well. i have some mandala #1's growig too. i couldnt believe how purple it was tho... it was just soem old ass middies bagseeds. i though it may have been from being too cold since i live in ohio, but the purple hasnt gone away.

switch to one cfl at close range about 6 inches, go 12/12 in a cool place and looking at the plant i would say the roots are probably fried too, so with you next waters you need to put a little root hormone and nutrients, and with you water mix 1 tbsp of epsom salt to a gallon of water, it ecourages green growth, make sure you water that thing every day

You might help it with an icu but i think the best thing to do is to play taps and put it to rest

I wouldn't put it to rest...i would follow the advice and try and save it. That thing seems like it's had a tough life and it definitely wants to live. If it comes back you know you got a damn hardy plant. Good luck.

My advise.

Check temp under hood of your light it gets hotter then elsewere in your attic and im asumming the temps hit like 100 ish for you.

Switch to 2 cfl's or move light away and give it more dark period.

Good ventelation and possible add some super thrive to help roots get better to support the poor leaves..

Maybe a bit more water but NOT MUCH more.. and it should ge better in like half a week to a week youll notice a difference probably.

You guys are fuckin' mean. I'm pretty high and I feel like I've been told a family member was in a car accident. Good luck with that little fried basatard, but I would toss 'em. The plant wasn't very big and it will always be a "stunted" plant. Better to started with something fresh and new and healthy instead of spending time nursing the retard back to health in the hopes that someday it will produce something.

Well, I suppse as long it's the only one that you have I would say save it. The more things you find wrong with this one, the better the next ones will be. Now you know to test and check your timers. I GUARANTEE this never happens to you again. Nurse it back to health and see how far you can go with it. Experience is priceless. My buddies been groing 10 years and he learns something new every grow. It might not be a huge leap of info, but he may try something new or different or a different strain, or whatever. The more experience the better.

Good luck, hope it comes back for ya!
