I am planning to set up a veg/flowering room in a 10 ft by 12 ft room with 8 foot ceilings. It's a second floor room of a large house and im located in british colombia .. the temperature/climate outside is usually mild never extremely hot or cold.

I would like to save some money but i do have lots of money so i am open to all suggestions regardless of price. In return for all your helpful advice i will take pictures step by step and update this thread reguarily.

As of right now i was planning to use four 1000 watt hps/mh lights or six 600 watt hps/mh lights. My understanding was 1000 watt is adequate for 5x5 ft and 600 watt is adequate for 3x3 ft. I was thinking of growing in 5 gallon pots with soil.

I will be buying clones from a friend, not using seeds or making my own clones. As for other equipment i was thinking of a 500 cfm exhaust fan..the room is 960 cf so 500cfm would empty the whole room every 2 minutes? Also i will buy a atmosphere controller, water pump etc for watering, a carbon filter & some oscilating fans. I will sanitize the room and plastic sheet it off to air seal it and build trays for the plants so the water doesnt go all over the place if it drips out the bottom of the pots.

My question to you is what other equipment would you use, how would you arrange all said equipment & do you think a dehumidifier & air conditioner are nessacary considering my climate and exhaust fan capability.

Thank you very much to all those who respond to my thread its greatly appreciated.

8-1kws,4x4 on each light, pull,(or push if ya must), air from oustide the room, across the lights, then out of the room. Scrub the air inside the room, and exhaust it inside the room. Install the fresh air intake, but don't use it unless yas have too. Co2 is your best friend!,1500 ppm when lights are on. Get one of those nifty new water cooled Co2 burners, (on my list). You can get away with higher temps. Get a green house controler, simplify, simplify. Run multi-flow buckets, at least a 48 site but you could run 2 systems, might get 96 in there, don't think so but? 72 more like it. They will simplify, and you'll be glad you did, You can dial them in quick, and let em do there thing, Hydroton. run a chiller on the systems @ 70 deg. no problems with crud, drop in some air stones For DO. What are yas gonna do about the electricity? Get yas a 15-30kw diesel generator. Seal that room up! Use theromshield if your worried. I live by that stuff. few timers and your set. Oh and nuits, DM gold!

Seal that room up, exhaust the scrubbed air inside the room!!!!! Use Co2, your gonna catcha wiff oustside! I don't care what kind of carbon scrubber you have up there! The way you have it ,you only scrub once. Inside exhaust, you just keep scrubbing, catching all the smell. Co2 pays for itself. Do the math! you might have to use a dehumidifier. get a portable A/C in there.

I would use sealed rooms. Both seperate veg and flower. A miniroom before entrance for both (for no bright lights from opening door) and so you can change clothes and wear clean clothes to go in and out. C02 also.
