Help me ice the roof ?

I have giant insulation in my walls so all my heat goes up and out the roof,so even when it snows and I don’t grow there is a pocket or heat melts the ice and looks like a grow room

I have 150mm rockwool then plasterboard then175mm kingspan walls and200mm kingspan roof

the front bedroom area is filled with rockwool, but the heat coming up makes a pocket in the high point and pushes heat up behind the kingspan roof leaving a square of heat ffs

What can I do ? I thought what if I run a 4inch extractor in there it should pull warm air out and cool air in the eves asking as it doesn’t suck the house lol which should be sealed ish the easy point of least resistance should be eve vents making that area cool and all air out should cause air to pull thru tiles too and cool that area

My house is hot so it won’t matter if we have a cold

that means my growroom in theroom on its own vent , free to control temps

What other options do I have?? It’s a small space cramped with fibre glass rock wool atm so not alot of work space lol. Hose pipe at night ? Make it freeze ? Lol

Spray foam imo would work best. If your insulation is tight to the roof sheeting then you’re most likely going to get moisture in between. Research “vapor barrier “ as it pertains to attics and outside walls. Usually I’d have an open space between the insulation and sheeting. If moisture builds up then add gable/roof vent. Supposedly closed cell spray foam can be sprayed right onto sheeting. If you get the opportunity I’d also use ice and water shield all the way to the peak .

These are typically just for loose insulation to keep soffits open

Maybe put up a few of these, but also make it look like you went OCD and installed like 500 more feet worth of the cord (over the whole roof section, haha), except you actually fake it by using coax television cable that hardly no one uses any more, wired up to look like the real thing.. but not using much power, lol.

Every hear of an ice dam? If you don't put those cables on the roof, you will know and you will be very upset.
TRUST ME. Spending hours breaking ice out of the gutters and roof because the water is free flowing into your walls when it's -20 outside is NOT FUN.
BEEN THERE DONE THAT.
The cables will create channels that the water can flow down the roof and away. Don't forget to run the cable all the way to the bottom of the downspout.

I wonder if you had the space in the attic if you could just heat the roof from the inside in a pinch? I think those cables would be cheaper to run though

No that's the problem is the heat in the space. The space should be cold so the snow doesn't melt. It melts runs down the roof then re freezes at the soffit where it's cold creating a dam where then the water running down begins to create a pool. That water will find it's way under the shingles and into the wall. I had to pull apart my entire bathroom outside wall and re do it. Nightmare

Vent the heat into a barrel/tote full of ice with a spigot on the bottom to drain water. Maybe run a line from the barrel to drain outside?
Put holes on the top to let the cool air escape.
(Just a thought)

im a licensed carpenter ill take this one. so what i can see here is heat loss. and potentially no venting or even vapour barrier ? since you didnt list that either. what you need to do is add moore vents in every space between the roof rafters. the idea here is the insulation will keep your attic grow room warm and the moore vents will create a gap of air between the back of your rooms insulation and the underside of your roofs sheathing. however i suspect you can access this area without ripping the walls open. is there a small man door so you can stand inside the area behind the small half wall in your photo? you need to go in there and check out the venting for the roof ive attached a photo that will illustrate what i mean. if theres a half wall it should be insulated how this photo is. not how you have it illustrated.

I just suck cold air from my loft to my grow and exhaust it down through the bathroom ceiling, with the window cracked, in the winter I put a dehuey in the bathrooms but people are used to seeing hot air and condensation in a bathroom from outside
