Hey,

yeah my light work over some green, but at the moment i cant say much about the red, beacuse my plan was to start to start first with dominant blue spectrum. Because i have some haze and i thought the strech would be to much with red spectrum, so my red cobs are very low atm. After 2-3 weeks flower(strech) are over i will turn red cob to max and will dimm the blue ones.

My room has not so much height...

This is my spectrum for growth stage, it is 5600k to max and a little bit of red(1750k) cobs

I noticed that my haze dont do much strech with this spectrum in compare to 3000k/90 cri. But im only 5 days with this spectrum in flower so maybe it will change, but i dont think so.

After Strech is over i will change spectrum like this, maybe a little less blue part.

One question about those spectrums, cause theres been some talk about mixing spectrums that never really gotten resolved:

Are those spectrums stable across your footprint? Is there a lot of difference in spectrum if you measure directly under a 1750 cob or under a 5600 cob?
The general consensus in threads i read seem to have been that the spectrums wont mix that well. Finally someone has a build and equipment to actually see for real. Would you be happy to do some measurements to get the actual data on this one? Just one measurement under red and blue cobs at canopy height to compare?

id wait it out with the blue for a bit. for me it seems worst stretch is always day 7-14

Hi Malocan. You should be about a month in, how goes the grow? Were you able to manage stretch/flowering with your 2 spectra?

Sorry for late answer, but i have alot to do :/

They grow really good i would say. They are allready close to finish i would say, it is going really fast forward. Some words to strech, after one week of flower the strech was so less for haze that i turned the red spectra to max, and then still no big strech. It seems 1750k in combination with much blue dont do much strech maybe. But i have to repeat it with other phenos to test it for sure. The 2 phenos which i do, i do allready again at a friend with 80 cri 3500k +660nm, they are 2weeks + behind me. He has similar less strech internode distance looks pretty similar to my, it seems the phenos do less strech.

My plants are today day 47, from my friend they are around day 33. So far we can see that he will never finish that fast like me. My plants at that stage had much bigger buds. I dont know if the 1750k is the cause for fast finish, in future i will know more, but this take a lot more time and will share here my experience.

I used 2 seeds from Rare Dankness Seeds - Moonshine Haze x Ghost Train Haze #1

Thanks so much for sharing this, buds look great, almost like hps in shape. This is pretty much the coolest grow/light on riu in my book, variable spectrum; like a homemade ChilLed with cobs instead of diodes. Looking forward to see what else you can do with this. Im really thankfull foryyou to take the time to document this

Still looking at those beautifull budshots. Hows your grow going? Have you had another run under that light? This is still cool just so you know

Also, coming back to an old question: having that fancy light meter; is there any way you could be convinced to take a few shots of the spectrum, but in a few different places? Like directly under the a red cob, under a blue cob, and half way in between? And maybe at different height like 30cm/50cm? It would be really interesting to know a bit more about how well the light will mix from separate light sources. This is an old debate coming back from time to time, how well will different spectrum lights mix. If you can it would also be helpfull to know what is the spacing of the ligjts, how far apart are they?

I mentioned chilled boards before but the more i think of it your light is cooler: chilLeds light tune the reds using monos, i like the way the 1750 phosphor gives a really wide bump in the red, including that portion in between 660 and 730 nm. Anyways, happy growing
