HELP! mold on curing buds

so i noticed some little white spots on my buds... one giant sized bud has it quite visible... it is stored in a separate jar. the others, hardly any

is there anything I can do to save my crop? or do I have not much to worry about?

I was curing all nicely but then I put them inside paper in the jar, dunno why actually... i was away for 36 hours or so... when I came back, this.

now i'm letting them dry to crisp. is there any cure for this? h2o2? sulfur?

I cure my the old skhool way! Let'em hang up for 4 or 5 days or whatever till the out side of the buds feel pretty dry. Then pick it~put in your "jar" or baggie just for maybe 12 hours at the most then laid out again on newpaper. You were dry it to slowly

I dunno, it just doesn't look like mold to me... you sure that's what it is?

Mold is grey and turns the buds to mush. Or so I thought...

You might consider cutting away the affected bud before it spreads to the good stuff, whatever it is.

1; take the bud and put in a bag
2; open the bin
3; toss it in
4; feel bad about it


if you can see mold then its real bad, it grows from the inside out..sorry to be the bearer of shitty fuckin news bro

don't know how to fix now? but for future open up jars ever day to allow moister out so it doesn't happen again.
idk what you could do at this point...sorry

Powdery mildew anyone???

did you dry the weed before you put in the jars? you need at least 3-4 days of hang time before you jar your gear....and after that you still need to take it out a few times a day to air dry

Quality not Quantity

I cant tell from the pics, but if you do have mold on "dried" bud you can clean it with the water cure.
I have done this several times and it works great.
its easy to do but takes a couple of weeks or so.

i dunno, I can't really be positive it's mold. the buds do look alright, except for a little white you can see... and maybe a bit 'off' color. I know I may be lying to myself but it does look smokable. I've dried it to a crisp now. I will consider water curing if it's not good still. thanks everyone for the advice.

I did let it dry before I jarred it, but not enough I guess. lesson indeed learned.

I have this problem now and again with the climate that I live in and the h2o2 spray has always worked for me. 1/2 cup of peroxide to 1 liter of water, lightly mist and put out to dry. The peroxide will kill the mold on contact, although with the dried buds don't put soap in it for a spreader. Just plain water and the peroxide, it has saved me lots of times and leaves nothing behind to taste.

man that is good advice! i +rep you just for putting it out so boldly. so yeah you think? cuz i've read some controversies, but you you're talking out of experience! still not sure i'll do it, now that i've let them dry, mold isn't supposed to spread no more right? or would h2o2 even get rid of the mold i have

it hasn't ruined the buds yet i'm hoping, well most of them anyway :\ one bud was really moldy on the inside. my biggest bud, 20g. tossed it. but now i feel more confident about recognizing that bitch. thing is, I think most of my stash has it, maybe just a bit though. some stems have become very weak. some very dark green colour and slightly black. trichs look dead, like dead bodies. not all, but seems that most of the batch is gone. a dark day.

That really sucks when it gets to the inside once dried, I honestly haven't tried it for that only the surface mold. I do use peroxide throughout the grow in waterings and foliar sprays. I am battling mildew now on my leaves and the spray has kept it well in hand on all but one plant that is just a mold magnet (7 cycles or so and have it in her each time). When this happens I just take my pipe and an old rag and wipe down the leaves and it doesn't come back. Oh one last little thing, when I have harvested due to mold in my bud I have put them in this solution and then hung to dry. I don't think it would work for a lot on a bud but it has helped in small areas.
There has been many studies done with peroxide the past several years with encouraging results for different things in growing. Even through google this can take some digging to sift through all the other stuff but I have found it interesting to say the least.

I got hit with it my last harvest pretty hard as well. Grew some really massive colas this time around and they just took too long to dry. I actually started seeing mold while they were on the racks. Lost a good pound and a half or so. Heartbreaking. Treating the garden with serenade weekly now and gonna make sure to chop all big buds into smaller pieces for drying in the future.

Im also "Nuggeting" all bud completely off the stems, using a commercial dehumidifier and using dry racks with lots of fans and turning buds 2x a day on the racks.
This year im going to use calcium 25 to ward off any inner mold as well as tying big cola branches down with "Rock and string" so they never make 9oz colas, rather 25 smaller weed sticks.

Just keep on with the cure, and smoke that shit.
Ive smoke a bunch of that shit a couple years ago that my buddy brought from WA, they grew it and didnt dry it./cure it right.

Just had it happen to some p express, i would have been more worried, but nothing happened last time and it was a whole lot more then.

Just be more careful and invest in some analog hygrometers. Can get em on ebay from china for about 3 bucks each.

did it give it an ammonia smell?

Smoking mold spores is highly risky (especially if you have some type of immunity problem) and I would recommend against it. Not worth risking your health for a couple g's in bud.
