Help on DG laws re: how many licences can you hold and possible employees helpers?

Hi folks,

I have a query. Under the current guidelines, as a designated grower, I can carry a maximum of two licences to produce ( either one for myself or for two separate patients) For some reason, it may be a false memory, I thought I read, that I am able to delegate a responsible person on site , to help with production. This responsible person can also hold one licence for a maximum of three licences at one location.

Backdrop: If I'm out of the house and the police or authorities decide to do an inspection, how can I safeguard my wife who may be home at the time?

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Kind Regards,

Rotor

I believe you can carry 4 patients at one location provided there's 2 people living at that location.

I currently have 2 patients and myself and my wife has 2 patients. If the person resided in the house he can apply for a dg. I think max is 5-6? You can have anyone look after your LEGAL grow. I would put your licenses in plain view somewhere near the garden and tell your wife to show the paperwork in the event, then not say anything else...AT ALL. If your count is good and your legal, you have no worries about your wife. good luck

You couldn't apply for an R&D permit to grow at a private residence...well you could, but you wont get the permit.

To date no permits have been issued to anyone...

I've read the same thing Redi.

Thanks for posting reply, i was just assured by HC that the licence will protect whoever is also living at the address. So all covered.

You need to be carefull about the people helping you. If they don't have their lisences you can get in trouble. Is like passing a joint to a friend with out one. They could take you script away. And They're right you can only have of a max of four scripts

I have a total of 5 with my license? If your helper resides in the house or they are classified as a caretaker, they are not required to have a license and should not cause any problems.

Hi Ganga,

Cheers for the reply. I could have sworn I read somewhere that as a DG I can elect a responsible person who can help with the production. This could be under the new guidelines though. Do you have any links or reference regarding the caretaker, so I may have peace of mind ?
Thank you so much
