Help out a first timer please

Hey RIU, I have been falling in love with the concepts of Pc grow case lately, and will be attempting to build my own this weekend.I just have a few questions as I was looking around some local stores for supplies, btw, I live in Canada.At Rona, I saw these CFL's that displays 100W on the package, but beside it, it says "only uses 23w". Can somebody explain to me exactly what this means? Is it actually 100W, or 23W?

Lighting: Should I use 3 42W CFL's? or 4 26W CFL's? Or, the 100W-150W U-Tube CFL's. (I will be buying both 2700k and 6500k)

Seed: A lot of people are using Auto NorthernLights, and the Auto Blue Mystic. Would these be a good start for me?Seedbank: Which site would you guys recommend me buying from? I'm in Canada, Quality > Time of shipment http://www.marijuana-seeds-canada.com/ vs http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/

Reflectors: Should I actually buy a roll of the Mylar? Or would buying the Car Windshield Reflectors work just as fine?

Soil: Seems like Fox Farm Ocean Forest (FFOF) isn't an option for me in Canada. Any other suggestions?

Fans: I only have 2 120mm fan sockets, one on the back, one on the front. Is that enough? Or is there a method to mount an extra one? If there is, which is better, 2 exhaust-1 intake, or 1 exhaust, 2 intakes?

Nutrients: 1) Biobizz products (root juice, alg-a-mic, bloom, grow, fishmix) seem to be working very well for "idontlikesociety", how much can a quart of each last me? (plant wise)
or 2) FloraNova series and Monsterbloom
3) Dyna-gro

If anyone can point me in the right direction for a newbie, i'll great appreciate it.

SCROG Vs LST. Maximizing my yield will be a bonus. The main objective of this grow is to learn the whole process of growing.

I am planning on making a Carbon Filter myself, not sure if the 120mm Pc Fan with 2000 rpm will be enough though.

Gonna keep it short and sweet im tired and about to fall asleep

the bulbs are 23w not 100w the 100w is the "equivalent" wattage (meaning its like a 100w incandecent)

lights - will depend on your temps, so start off with some 26w and see how it goes.

seed - just get any auto like a lowryder or ones u mentioned .... that will ensure they will stay small (until you learn more and can work with reg strains)

reflect - if its a pc case just get some flat white spray paint (krylon or whatever) and paint the inside .... mush easier then taping or glueing mylar (which crinkles)

soil - just get any decent potting soil .... good drainage.....so it should have perlite and vermiculite (get some kind of pro mix) from cdn tire or whatever

fans - these will also depend on temps.....you may find you might need higher cfm fans once you get some lights in or put your carbon filter on

nutes - dont get crazy, you dont need expensive shit.... you can use general purpose nutes (grow and bloom) for your first time or first few goes get it cheap at cdn tire or home garden centers.....just make sure it contains most of the micro nutrients you will need. you can supplement what its missing


if your soing autos scrog will be a no go cuz they stay small.......you could lst a bit however.....depends how they grow you may not need to do anything
