either.
i usually mix half well/ half RO

i do drain to waste too. my pH is stable for up to 14 days. nice to go on vacation and not worry about your pH being all over the place
Thanks again. Looks like pH and the foaming have stabilized. I think it was just the first day or two that I mixed the tank when things got a little wacky here. Still, working with the molasses is sticky business.

Well, I cleaned out the tank today and what a stinky nasty mess that was. Had to scrub hell out of the tank and all components. For me, the blackstrap molasses is not worth the cleaning hassle so I will skip it from now on since I am already using Boost. Otherwise I just follow the Canna guide, sans the Canazym.

I cleaned out my tank. Want to dive in?

give dry nutrients a try, and use a large tank, i didn't see what size you have, but i use a 110 gallon. I think people go to crazy on the flash names and additives.

use some dry tomato nutrients and dry cal/mag (comes in cal and epson salt) Its like 1/20 the cost (it cost me $175 to make 5500 gallons of mix), and it won't get all foamy. also, there isn't any mess to clean.

happy growing
