help pls, what the hell is this stuff?!!!

oh my god, this stuff is gross.. i had a ez-cloner on a couple cinderblocks in a closet for a month or so and never even thought to look under it, and apparently some sort of fungus grew into the carpet.

what the hell is this stuff, and how do i clean it / get rid of it??

Scrape it up and bleach it.

this is seriously disturbing, i scraped it up, but clearly the stems are still inside the carpet and i saw clouds of spores poofing when i did.
sprayed bleach everywhere =./

You're gonna have to pull up the carpet and replace the underpad there. Bleach may have fucked the carpet anyway.

i pulled out the carpet which was bone dry, only to find the underpad was very damp... threw the whole thing out and scrubed the concrete floor.

/shrug i am still curious if anyone know wtf those things were though.

Fungus ie: shrooms, caused by warm, damp conditions with some microbes that ran out from your runoff and stayed damp in the carpet.
