Help with plant ... may be auto.

Ok. So I have this girl here, and she is different then anything I've ever grown. Fast, quick to show sex, and node small spacing like crazy. Had alot of problems with her a long the way.

She is under 18/6, and after some research I thought it was an auto flower. So I left her for awhile... cause I read 18/6 or 20/4 is best for autos. (Never had one) I can't tell ya the age because I didn't keep track but if I had to guess a month and a half old.

She isn't really growing nugs, which I expected to see from an auto by now... could this be because of the issues I had along the way? Was my guess of an auto wrong? And she's just a crazy healthy girl and should flip to 12/12 immediately? She's looked the same for weeks just getting taller.

I need Help, I don't know what to do.. don't wanna waste it... and I'm running out of room if she isn't an auto.

I think that it sounds and looks like an autoflower.I'm sure the past issues you've had has affected her overall size and how much she will yield, but her sexing/blooming is totally normal for an auto. Autoflowers don't simply switch to bloom, more often, they more often will show sex and produce preflowers, and stay at this stage for awhile and actually continue to produce more foilage. It's totally normal for an auto to have blooms like that but still be behaving more like it's still veggying. She will eventually stop that and start only focusing on her bud sizes, and that's when she's really in bloom and when you can start counting how many days she's in bloom. You can administer higher P-K nutrients to influence her to enter full on bloom faster, and introduce veggy nutes to influence to stay in veggy longer, getting larger before bloom. You can also change the lighting to 12/12 if you want her to bloom sooner than later. Sometimes auto's get 'stuck' and need the 12/12 to bloom. But at 1 month and a half, I don't think you're at this point yet. Hope I could help!

So I went through old pictures and can give her an age of 2 months and 2 weeks. Which if she is an auto... Then she should have been almost done soon no? So if I put her to 12/12 And she flowers.... do I keep it at 12/12? I heard with autos more light equals bigger yields... Or do I switch it back to 18/6 after nugs have formed? I'm an auto newb. Thanks for all info

Ah ok I see, yeah it sounds like you've got an auto that simply got 'stuck' in preflower, which is more common than you'd think.. Anyhow, yep you have the right idea! Even if she doesn't burst out into full bloom quickly, still keep her at 12/12! Sometimes these auto's can have unstable genetics and get stubborn phenotypes. I would keep her at 12/12 even after full bloom, but others may have a different take on this. It's certianly something you can experiment with if you're in a pinch of needing the harvest. Don't worry, I've been dealing with auto's for 5 years and I still feel like an auto-newb lol :)

This remids me of a strain i had got from a friend of a friend. It threw crazy preflowers. On the inside of the plant and grew nodes so tight on the inside it was like a bush where lift hardly penetrated. I ended up vegging it on 24hrs. It tested even worse in my friends tent who uses leds. I'm an HID guy. It wouldn't get very tall very fast. But when I turned to 12-12 that strain would look 2 weeks further than other strains. As far as flower development. Cloned well and produced beautiful buds. I figured it was an auto and dude didn't tell me. Or it had been crossed with an auto. I still don't know. Just reminded me of that green ribbon I had. Sounded like a familiar story. Lol yours looks like a landrace sativa the way those leaves are structured. I would flip to 12-12. I bet it has a long flowering period.
