Help With Reflector.

As you may know, I picked up a complete kit off a friend, 1k w Sunlight Supply Inc HPS ballast w\ "vertizontal reflector" for 150$...The reflector is nice but 4 FEET around. I am working with a 35" wide 4 foot long 7 foot high closet.

Is their any cheap way to fix this. Also what do you recomend for holding the lamp fixture high enough off the plants?

Should I run out and invest in a "air cooled relfector" ? Thing is Im kind of hit for cash, Im even growing bagseed.

Ok, Today is a big day, I move some germinated seeds to the room. How far should I keep the (1k Watt) light fixture from the wall's? Im going to use a brick and a chair to support it until I figure something out...

Are theiur any other safety issues with not using a reflector? The light gets damn how and Im worried about fire.
