Help with what part? +rep

Hey everyone, i want to make this DMC clonner. https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/103903-best-diy-ez-walmart-dwc.html And i got all the things exept for a air stone and air pump. I do not under stand how these things work. If anyone could lead me to a thread that shows how these are setup or can show me a good cheap pump and stone it woulld be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

How they work is simple. An airstone is attached to the pump with 1/4 inch plastic tubing. The sone goes in the tub and the pump outside. It creates bubbles that oxygenate the water and it runs 24/7. Some of us use the bubble action to feed the medium which requires more bubble action (per link below). But if all you want to do is oxygenate the water an aquarium pump from walmart is enough. Get whatever stone will fit in the tub.

thanks for explaining that to me +rep, i just went to walmart and pet o and got 2 12 inch airstones and 3ft tubing do i need a sepreate pump for each stone or do i just need to find a strong enough pump that has two fittings?

wallmart has one for 10 bucks and it is a dual outlet

Again, it depends on what level of bubble action you need. 2 12in stones will take some pressure, I think they carry a higher output pump at walmart for about $20.

im not sure myself on how much pressure i need, its just for clones so i guess i have to go through trial and error.

i use the dual pump for 60 to 80 gal aquarium and it gets enough to rock the cloner out is was like 23$ at wally

yeah i have a small heater as well keep my temp at about 70

oh ok cool well imma go but a pump when i get home and give this baby a test run since my plant is still about a week till clones
