Well, its been about a week since these babies cam out of the soil. I have 4 of them in plastic cups. This green stuff wasn't here last night but when i checked them a few minutes ago i noticed it. The plants themselves don't look like anything is wrong with them. Should I be worried about this green build up? Because I'm kinda freaking out. I don't want my first babies dying on me.

Well, im not too sure about the green problem, but you should cover your cups with something or transplant them into a solid container. Light is bad for roots. Best of luck on the grow!

That green stuff would be algae, covering your pots with something to block out all the light would be best

Would the algae be a result of light exposure? and is it bad for the plant, will it effect it in any way at all? I'm going to transplant them today into some real pots. Thanks for the info.

yes the light hitting water caused it to grow
Light will also bother the roots so I would transplant soon

well, I've transplanted them into some 6" pots for now. Should I worry about the algae? Will it go away now that they're in non-transparent pots?
