Hi I’m kinda at a loss here to what it might be but my plants just look droopy. I feel the growth is really slow.
Ph is around 5.5-6
Res temps are below 68
2 air stones per 5 gallon bucket
Gh 3 part there on aggressive veg so 3-2-1
They have 9 ml of h2o2
3 gallons of water in each bucket
These were transplanted from soil to hydro
18/6 light schedule
1000w MH roughly 25 inches away
Stems are purple and spreading in the veins of the leaves on one plant the new growth is coming out twisted a bit

I see smaller blacker roots, and bigger whiter roots in the other photo.
Is the perceived problem affecting both equally?

My two cents. To cold 72 would be better. h202 only lasts about a half an hour since you have some roots adding hydrogaurd now at 1=2 ml a gallon would keep it clean. 1k mh light is way over kill for such a small plant, kind of waste of electricity, at least raise it up, could be light stress. Purple stems sounds like mag deficient twisted growth could be calcium deficient. don't think you need an aggressive veg program right now wouldnt a normal veg program wok?

I mean if the plant was outside it would be experiencing the same light values if not more. I will try moving the light up more and putting it on regular veg instead of the aggressive.

I figured it out, I have root rot. The 1k is to strong the light penetrates through the hydrotron so I made top covers. Also, I changed the res in each bucket for now it’s Ph’d water with super thrive and h2o2. I can’t afford any Hydroguard right this second had some emergency situations arise. Good news is I already see new roots growing, I’m thinking to put nutes back in by tonight or tomorrow and on a milder strength.

Sweet I forgot about the light cooking your roots through your hydroton scenario. I had that happen to me for the longest time, well over a year till I figured it out, it was a pain. I was useing a t-5 light. My roots were sitting at about 90 degrees rotting away never bothered to put the temp gun on the hydroton.

A quart of hydrgaurd is about 32 bucks here at my local store but I am thinking of not using that anymore and switch to the RAW brand of grow microbes as that has the hydrogaurd type of microbes in it along with other beneficial microbes the plant might like and it is only 10 bucks here for the small bag of that product. I use the raw microbes different because they will die of in about a week, every water change I dip out two gallons of fresh nuted water out of my barrel and add 1/8 tsp of microbes and add 10 ml of molasses mix very well, then I top feed my plants while the pots are flooded so the microbes hit all the roots, what sticks sticks and the rest flow back into the barrel. And I get that microbe foam on top of my barrel water for about a week which is good that just tells me I still have microbes working for me.

Oh yeah I’m not opposed to buying things I just had a series of bad luck this month and have to direct my money elsewhere besides the grow.
