yooo, thanks for the help offer, i can really use it! im going to be doing my first grow, which is a small stealth grow, many people told me to go ahead and start with a lowryder 2 (autoflowering females x5), my goal was to use as little money as possible but not to be stingy to effect the life of the plant in a bad way. im waiting on my seeds and have everything wired up and ready to go, however i have a few questions, my box is relativly small so i would like to grow 2 of these suckers in it, however the 5 liter containers that i bought do not support 2, since roots grow downward due to gravity i thought it would be the same to spraypainta milk carton and take off the top, what do you think about this? 5 liter (one plant) .75 gallon- x2- 2 plants, is the 150 watt cfl sufficient enough?

well kinda confused about your size...
whats your box... You can harvest 2 full sized plants in coco in 16 oz cups....
Your root mass matters but your grow room and light height and what kind of light your using makes up the difference..

Whats coco? yeah well 5 liters per plant will only let me harvest 1 in my grow box, its 3.5 feet high, 1 foot wide and 1 foot deep, its a fine size for these plants, my light is a huge bulb, a soft white 150 watt cfl bulb, 16 oz? i have miracle grow and am trying to get my hands on some foxfarms. 16 oz will have enough room to grow this plant to what size/yield?- if u need anymore information let me no, if i can put them into a huge 32 oz big gulp cup or bigger would that be the best? ill really do anything i just want to get thes suckas started, ahaha do u remember ur first grow?

Yeah those big gulp cups would work...
Im not sure why you are using such a small box... I guess people have to be stealthy and all but the bud is still going to smell ..In my case there is no way you'll be able to cover the smell up without a carbon filter...

But back on the subject... I would for sure say use more 16 oz cups and sog flip them after a week of veg.. and top the living hell out them.. or lst... or scrog one larger plant but with only a foot to work with...

Better yet scratch all of that... I would buy the largest pot you buy to fit in there... square would be best... then plant 9 plants in the big pot... then scrog it... you'll probably end up with a mess... But you'll have more bud... Idk man

I have never had space issues...

got 1 female out of 5 (bumppp) so i transplanted the female into a bigger pot and took two clones off it, the clones are in a humidity dome but the leaves are drooping, is this normal? i was under the impression also that the soil has to be soaking until it roots? but how do i know when it does?
also iv heard people yielding like a pound off a plant indoors lol crazy i know you really cant say how much i will yield but im using a 600w hps, humidifier, fan, heat stays between 22-26c, mg nutes, 6weeks into veg.... will i manage 2oz a plant u think?

no offense, but I never understand these types of threads.. I mean, the whole site is for help.. Whats the point in threads like this? I have seen at least 6 threads just like this one. I just dont know what there purpose is. Great avatar though

Yeah bro droopy leaves are normal no worries.. A pound is possible but very unlikely. It would be a very long veg time, and you would be able to push out more weight if you just vegged shortly then flipped... I think you'll easliy reach two ounces from a plant with a 600.... I would say veg for aleast 6 weeks and take as many clones as possible and always keep a mom...

Ive never heard of a 500 watt light... And Im kina unsure what you mean...

If you mean 50 watts then that sounds like a incandlence bulb and they don't really work for growing.... don't beat yourself up over it...lol

Perhaps you can help me save this pitiful plant. It's in Scott's Premium soil that has time release nutes similar to MG. It is now 19 days from breaking ground, germed in a paper towel. It's been under CFLs since sprouting. The leaves have been getting burnt slowly but surely ever since. Four days ago I flushed it in hopes of getting rid of some of the nutes but it's still browning. It has been getting nothing but bottled water and I'm pretty certain that it has not been over-watered except for the flushing. While it has not stretched very much, I have topped off the soil with about an inch of a different no-nute organic soil. Any words of wisdom will be appreciated.

Its all good.. I know the feeling..Im retired/disabled and get really bored too. I guess thats why i troll RIU all the time haha..

No shit? The Duke really smoked? OMFG thats awesome.. I have evry movie he ever made ( well except for a few really old crappy black/white really bad B westerns ) on DVD.. I can sit and watch JW movies 24/7.. I love his characters views and morals..My fav movies of all time are JW movies . Rio Bravo,Rooster Cogburn,Mclintonk and too many to list lol .

Yeah bro... Time released nute are kinda frowned on in indoor growning... But I use marine cruisene as a time released nute for acid loving plants...

But did you flush throughly before you ever used the soil? Lets say 3 cubic foot bag of soil you'll need to wash it out until the run off water turns clear then flush even more...

Is new growth browning? some times the bottom leaves will die off as new growth emergies... Thats natural..

Now if the tops are browning it's probably a slight mag- def... One cure for this that sometimes works is emplosm salt sorry about my 3rd grade spelling...

Use about a teaspoon per gallon....

is it bag seed or something you bought?

Also when you use bottled water your ph is probably going to be a little higher..?

It's really hard to tell, without pics...

I would suggest putting it outside... I know it soundds stupid but every time I stick plants outside I have a lot less problems..

Which now from thinking about it for a minute.. If your tops are burning you probably have a heat problem that will look like a heat problem heres a pic to show you what I mean

Im thinking about northern lights and train wreck... but not sure yet.. It has to be the best of the best... and also must be able to hold it's own in our hot texas weather... I am a younger guy.. But I also respect JW morals and views, I grew up watching JW movies with my father, I use to think they were stupid but as I grew older I really started to respect them thanks man here is a link to overly detailed journal first one is without comments and second has a bunch of BS

hey im a new be in the middle of my first grow and have /? i useing 400w htl/en lightshave 2 and a flouresnt veg light up top.in it own little space. grow area is about 3.5footx 5 and a flower area 3.5 x 3 foot are vented air out side water every 2 days misted as often as i can.triming plants is my 1rst ? do i trim big leaves and branches off bottom. o use nuts... veg nuts... right now plants are 5-4 and 2 week olds

i did my first clones last night hope it works got some cloneing solution and gel.now the plants i have in grow right now look healthy but they are not of any thing great but got mt seeds in from the web got blue berry wight snow and crystal and they are sprouting as we speak. dont want to mess them up so what i can learn now on these 1rst plant wont hert

well sounds like you have the right idea... Be sure to label what plants you look the cuts from... From seeds you will have different pheno's sometime you'll have mutants and you want to keep only the strongest healthiest plants, Try coco it's great Here is my thread...

But use good nutes... keep it simple!! don't over feed and don't feed everytime you water if it's your first run until they get full, and start to mature...

I suggest checking your ph before you feed and water every time and check your run off also... if your run off is high then raise your res ph.....

strains and good genetics mean everything...

yooo MOG..sorry to bother u again okay so i went to the hardware store today, they had all kinds of pots i went to 711 today, my overall purchase was 2 x 2 quart containers and huge big gulp cups, so i was wondering, whats better? i can fit two of those 2 quart buckets if i squash them a little, no biggie, but would the roots be happier with a wider pot or a taller pot, im no expert but i figured that the roots will grow down due to gravity, let me know what u think,
As far as the smell i do have a carbon filter of my own that i made its pretty nice and itll work for 3-4 weeks, ill use it closer to the end.
what do you think about my softwhite, 150 watt bulb? too much or too little?
i got my seeds today from attitude im very excited, this is going to be my first plant!!!
