If you look it up. You'll probably find what I'm talking about.

Say for instance. You've got a flower with purple outer petals. And yellow on the inner part. Those yellow bits will likely show up very differently to a pollinator like a bee than what we would see.

It's these bits that "light up". That gets the pollinators to go towards the actual pollen.

WoW, surprised i haven't seen this thread.

i've got a female that hermied, trying to figure out timing and how to maybe, just maybe get the seeds from "it"

I just did that. A blue Lemon Thai I gave some nutrient stress too started growing nanners about week 6. They went away at first but a couple weeks later they had an outbreak. I picked them off for a week but harvested like half way through week 9. Stuff looks and smells great.

First full outbreak I have seen in quite a while. And I know it was at least spurred by me.

This had a million balls and no signs of flower anywhere. So. Could have been straight up male.

I'm not bothered if I see one or two male parts showin through flower. But if they're more balls than flower. I start to get itchy snipper fingers.

This is one i have outside, keep in mind its 56f outside today, still have to say these plants are very hardy like....tomorrow its gonna be about 8f to 9f colder. We have a misty rain happening today gonna extend to tomorrow.......this was a female that hermied in 24hrs......major stress....

Good to see some keeping their hermies, good practice and good experience. No need to burn them down when you can still manage them and have fun plus any bud made is still primo.

Hermie genetics is in all plants, you learn not to get it or grow better strains that suit you well.

honestly for some, it would actually let you get to know what a hermie is and how to look for it in other grows that people do. I've seen many of threads, saying "is the hermie?"....or have "have i hermied it"....most people don't know the true definition of a hermie......plus also it gives you a chance just to simply learn....

also one of the reason why i made that classic hermie thread, and how i'm taking care of it and also how to harvest it....if wanting too...

I hate the word hermie, its too stereotypical, find an easier strain, or one that treats you better is a good cure for newer growers :-)

i know, that's why i like using the word "it" when describing, it is what it is though.....sometimes gotta call it like you see it...

All those who give it a bad rap scare new growers into killing their plants at first preflower then they repeat the cycle and never grow any bud.

Once a grower her had 9 plants all fems. Two hermied early on so he killed them, three during mid flower so they got chopped and the remaining four all hermed late on so he had seed anyway. Could of had twice as much bud if he let them run.

It would piss me off getting a bad herm though as i never ser it much in any of my plants and hope im well padt that stage.
