Your everyday diet and exercise habits {and your genetics} have more to do with your long term health than any procedure. Most folks would feel better and live longer if they were to lay off all the bad stuff. We have known what they are for a long time. Too much dairy, too much sugar, too much salt, too much protein, too much fat, too many processed foods, etc, etc.. Most of the time, the less we eat, the longer we live. It's been 4-5 years since I was in a Doctor's office. I'm sure at some point I will have to go back, but as long as I can walk by, I'm going to keep doing that.
As much as it's sounds great, there are a few things that if found early with annual check up, will save you from an untimely death. Prostate cancer comes to mind :(.

There are indeed no guarantees in life, save two; death and taxes- and the certainty they'll occur in the opposite order lol

Well that's most people's goal, isn't it?
True but re too Larry I'm a bit more proactive lol. As much as I hate my ass being probed once a year I feel a little more at ease lol. I'm the worst for going to the doctor but as I get older the most important thing is to see and interact with my grandkids for a few years :). Never thought I'd say that 20 years ago......fuck.

Not sure I should post in this thread because I'm officially not quite 50, body feels a lot older but like every male the mind is stuck around 15, but since a man is just as old as the woman he feels I'm 31 (yes, my missus is 18 years younger than me).

I've smoke semi-regularly for over 20 years now, first it was for pleasure then I found out the effect on pain and inflammation so, when you have a buggered back and arthritis running rampant through you, you need a good painkiller and I've never found anything on prescription which does as good a job on pain as Mary Jane. The other advantage, after being diagnosed with type 2 a week after a foot blew up like a balloon (no symptoms before then whatsoever, no idea there was a problem), is that I've noticed weed and/or vaping CBD also lowers blood sugar levels, which I believe is the reason you get the munchies when consuming weed.

So I have fun experimenting with different strains to find what is "right" for my needs.

Will get round to reading this thread fully, should be a giggle....

I'm pretty sure the cakes and cookies I eat after getting high gave me type 2 lol.

I had planned on walking/hunting all this week but nope.....20" of snow and minus twenty ..... fat till spring lol.
I heard on the news there were some serious blizzards going on. It got down to about 32F here {34F inside my tent}. My hiking gloves were damp, and my hands were cold as hell to start with. I would hold both trekking poles in one hand and put the other in my pocket. But after about 15-20 minutes I warmed up nicely.

And I haven't done any hunting this year. Haven't even been putting out corn. I did see a nice 10 point killed by the BIL of the lady we had Christmas Dinner with yesterday. That was up in the edge of Alabama.

I still may get out but it's getting really hard to pull this old body out of bed lol. A freezer full of venison would be nice. Ice fishing soon lol.
