Hi-Def Bud Pictures and RIU

one of the things that kindof bothers me about RIU is its image hosting capabilities...

we are limited to uploading 600x600 pixel photos... although i've seen other people able to upload pictures of up to 800 pixels - maybe they are special.

another thing, if you click the "attach picture" button in a reply, you are supposed to re-upload your image even if its already in your gallery... maybe i dont understand something about the process, but any time i have to link to a pic in my gallery i have to post the full size version in the thread (no thumbnails, unless you just uploaded the pic as "new" in the reply)

and finally - i've been paying closer attention the to number of people in each area of the forum, and it seems that there is very little activity in the "Post Your Pics" section - and i think its mostly because of the relatively shitty image quality available..

It would probably be more popular if images were a little larger, and thumbnailed. (the pics in this post have a max size of 1600pixels, i could post something higher, but 1600 works for me, plenty to get the real details...

something like this:

thats my 5 week blueberry ;-)

i also came up with a preset image adjustment for photoshop that changes the RAW digital image taken while the HPS lights are on and changes the colors and exposure to make nice colored pics that look a lot better...

i used upload.mn to do the pics from this post but there are other photo hosts that are anonymous and will host larger images...

bayimg.com is by pirate bay and they say if you upload a .zip or .rar file full of images they give you links to the archive file, and links to each image inside of it... kindof cool, but i couldnt get their site to work on my rig.

webshareimage.com is another one that i havent quite tested... but should be anonymous and host higher image quality...

i still login to this site and upload pics through proxies just to be safe...

one more for good measure:

yeah? no? what do you think?

I think your pics look great man! I love looking at good pics of weed. Specially the ones that you can see the trichs jumping off the leaves. Macro pics I think is what they're called. I've taken a few in the last couple days.
