For you gusy wanting to grow something else besides MJ, this is as much of a look alike as you're going to find. I was given seeds from a friend at work this year but mine aren't old enough to bloom yet.
It's called Hibiscus Cannabinus or Hibiscus Kenaf. The flowers are edible and the plants have been cultivated in Africa for 4000 years as fiber.
It's not uncommon for police to confuse them for our beloved MJ. Seeds aren't that difficult to acquire, plenty of heirloom companies sell them online.
